I like touhou, yes, but the fanbase ruins it.

It's a pretty sad story, the touhou fanbase, it got pretty messed up.
I also didn't like it before but i guess it grew on me.
but i can accept and agree if someone doesn't like it, i mean, the rabid fanbase, the overused memes, it makes it hard to like.

Touhou started out as a game that came out in 1996. It has a fan anime that the creator of the game ZUN was NOT part of. ZUN himself doesn't want a Anime made out of his work but groups do them anyway.

Well, the Touhou fandom is not as big as the Shitalia one in deviantART, it persists more in *chan imageboards (including 2chan). I sometimes think both things are annoying as hell, like when you want to find something about some country in deviantART and many of the results are kawaii desu characters.
