My new shield. Made from poplar ply wood and three layer of canvas. The Shieldboss is riveted. The raven ist the symbol of the Vaeringjar the fightergroup I'am part of.Related content

Did you use rawhide for the edging? Other than the Boss ours are very similar. Except I made mine using blank boards to give it the historical value. Great work though.

sweet dude , I had problems in the past that i've only managed to bypass with luck when making shields, you can check out my profile if you like but , how do you get the wood not to bend towards the painted side ?

First I guled a layer canvas at the back and after that tow on the front. Thats all.

hmm and what wood do you use , I use planks that i put together like the old shields
