Male Tree Trunks can be seen in the opening credits to the Fionna & Cake episode (in front of the Candy Kingdom).Could have changed the brain beast's gem-type/colour but didn't.
Figured the pipe would be used instead of make-up. As for dialogue I went with Mr Tree Trunks seeing himself as sort of a suave secret agent type of adventurer (as opposed to normal Tree Trunk's seeing herself as a sexy fantasy adventurer). Oh, and his butterflies are more into classical music (it's meant to be a cello and a clarinet that they're playing).
