...At first glance I misread that as 'GoldenEye', and thought that was, like, James Bond as a pony or something, especially with that background.

I read a fanfic where Thorax realized too late that becoming the leader of the Hive came with some ... additional changes.
After all, someling needs to lay the eggs.
He had a bit of a breakdown about it.

Huh. Didn't think she was a mad scientist. Maybe she swapped minds with a dog at some point afterwards, that's how we got the "pony-dog chase" scene when Dash stole the Daring Do book from the hospital?
4) I actually like the the MS Paint drawing of Celestia. It's unexpected to see something like this done with MS Paint that looks so... not like MS Paint, and yet just like MS Paint at the same time.

1) Haha, I hadn't made that connection!
2) It's kind of weird to me how rarely major fantasy transformations are paired with gender change. I mean, even being changing into a bird, which is still a vertebrate, would require MAJOR changes in skeletal, skin, and internal organ structure, but no characters ever change gender in among that mess? 
3) Haha, someone pointed out in a post-ep discussion that she had a mad-scientist look, with the crazy hair and all, so the story was going to have her as a secret (insane) genius. I still dig her as just a crazy pony though.
