So that's what was in that egg Pinkie laid in Luna Eclipsed (Happy NightMare Night, everypony!)! It was a little... ahem, present that Discord left with Angry Pie!
I imagine Screwball to talk like in this comic . Only Pinkie can understand her.

This isn't a headcanon I've thought of yet, but it would make sense for Pinkie's child to be every bit as wacky as she is. I bet Pinkie would make a good mother, whose just occasionally irresponsible; she does get practice helping the Cakes raising their foals

And I don't normally think about characters in parenthood, but I do like quirky/fun parent characters. Unless they're the main character/s of the story, they tend to be pretty empty clichΓ©s, which seems a waste. Twilight's parents still haven't spoken!

Even if you weren't the one who originally thought of the idea, you did presumably draw this, so it's nice of you to spread this interesting headcanon around.
Agreed, I think Twilight's parents get a louder voice in the IDW comics, but they don't get any development. It'd be nice to see an episode where we see Twilight interacting with her parents, and family in general. ^_^ Sort of like how "Party of Three" gave us more of Princess Cadance, but with less Discord stealing the center stage and limiting Cadance's development in the episode.

Haha, nah, I'm just being silly about not wanting to outright state "what if she was Pinkie's daughter" 'cause I thought it would be fun to heavily imply that theory but admit to nothing.Β 
And aye, a Sparkle family outing or a mane-6's-elders outing could be fun!

A pity, that. I imagine they'd be plenty of fun together! They'd just need a third character to balance them out, because otherwise their personality types will be too similar, and there won't be enough contrast between them.
Seeing an uncle would be nice, although I think he'd only be a background character. If the DHX staff hasn't made an episode where Twilight's parents talk yet, I doubt they'll make an entirely new character and give HIM a speaking role. Then again, there was Maud Pie...
