This probably explains why I tend not to draw ponies dressed up fancy for comics.
Not only am I totally inexperienced with designing clothes, but I'm also prone to say "Right... Needs more fancy." and add stuff on when it comes to DT.Took me a while to do this because I kept drawing it, thinking "could be neater, I'll come back to it" and then not looking again for another few weeks/months. This time I figured I'd just try to balanced out the messy lines with colours/etc and TA-DA!Β

It could just be the textures in the picture, but there's something about the fabrics that makes them look... appropriate, to a Medieval-type dress. Β Like they aren't modern fabrics, but still meant for regality. Β

Ah, thank you! I was definitely thinking of ancient royalty whilst doing Diamond's, though I didn't go so far as to pick a time period.
