So the same day I say I'll be a bit absent, I submit a gif, wow...Anyway, I just wanted to try out some light effects, and... I would love to learn how to make animations, but I'm too scared of opening and trying to learn flash when I already know how to make gifs in ps, so... I suppose I'll just have to experiment on making those more and more complicated or something....
I wanted to try make something more.. atmospheric this time. I hope I managed to do that!
When you've been working on schoolstuff all day, it's fine to make something simple for fun before going to bed, right?
I don't know if it's a bomb or a meteor or.. aliens or something happening.. maybe it's a war? idunno... The guy doesn't seem happy!

It looks like a nuke but without the mushroom cloud! I love how the guy's just sleeping through it; how does he manage that? Even the slightest things wake me up at night!

Yes yes! There's lots of tutorials about it on google that explains it. It's very easy when you understand it, but kind of confusing in the beginning xD

Well, it certainly is more atmospheric... I think the read lighting is my favorite (I know it was probably a more simple part), it just has such a tone of foreboding and potential...
If you do start learning animation, I wish you much luck (and patience with yourself)

but by the way it's really good, and the work on the light is very interesting, and if you want to do animation......weeeeeeell I'm telling you it's like opening a can of worms as they said in england (silly english people xD!)
It's a reaaaaaaally reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally long and dificult processe, but also very interesting...OuO
(most of my friends who went in art schools in France end up to do animation and we use to talk a lot about it when I see them on facebook or skype ^^)

Hahaha, I know I know, people tell me it takes ages to do animation, and... I think that's why I never make myself try to learn flash, because I know IT WILL TAKE TIME to even make a tiny short silly thing.... But I might just do it for fun, without planning to achieve anything FANTASTIC

yes but when you see the final result...animation is soooo interesting, and when you know some keys about it you enjoy even more some kind of animation movie like Brave (her hair *ยต* Can you imagine how long it's took to animated it...and it moving every damn scene!! O_O it's purely amazing!)
I wish I could animate something one day too U_U!
But by the way, I think that what you made is allready a good start ^^ the most important is that you enjoy what you make UuU!

Yes yes yes @u@ And I don't imagine I would go into 3D animation in any kind, it would only be drawn(but who knows? I might find interest in it later?)

Gifs are pretty easy in ps, it's just a bit hard to understand the first times. But it would be awesome to learn real ones D: Like in flash!
