I know what you’re thinking… ‘OMG IT’S FERAL AND JINKS!!! TOGETHER!!! ARE THEY GONNA HAVE LOTS OF SEX AND BABIES!?!?!??!!’

And the answer is…. NO!!!

Jinks is Feral’s one failed conquest, to put it simply. She must be the only mare on the face of the Earth who is immune to his charms. Despite this, the two of them have a very close bond, although more of a platonic one than the lover-style one that Feral might like . They go back quite a way and Jinks is probably the best friend Feral has, his laddish, thieving, con-artist ways hardly being a solid base for a friendship. Feral frequently does make it clear he would quite happily seduce Jinks, but she laughs it off and doesn’t let him get away with it. She does try her best to convince him to convert to the straight and narrow way of life, but that’s like telling a fish it should dance not swim; doomed to failure. She genuinely has no romantic feelings for him, although nobody else is convinced of this, least of all Feral who thinks she is living in denial and will one day wake up and realise she wants him more than anything else in the world . It could be debated by some that Feral is only interested in Jinks as she poses an irresistible challenge for his ego, but in truth he really does care for her.

This is partly inspired by the relationship I have with one of my best friends, Simon, except for the fact he isn't in love with me (despite his frequent innuendos and suggestions) or a serial con-artist/thief/womaniser. I'm even a lot like Jinks; clumsy, blunt, fun-loving and prone to the occasional blonde moment .
