Nicola had always been a fighter and joined the Green Army as soon as she could she had trained, she had fought, she had killed when necessary but in the end she had done her duty and returned home a hero...meeting a good man and having a beautiful daughter. But then 'The War' began. She was called up almost immediately and while she hated leaving her family again she heeded the call. She fought hard becoming a hero of the Emerald Guard. She was injured several times and nearly died many times but every time her broken body parts would be replaced, but the Wizard's Own Scientists, with metal and wires and gears. She became better, stronger, faster, practically immortal but the war took its toll. When it was over there was very little of Nicola left. She was a loyal, emotionless, machine who could just about remember loving her family but couldn't remember what that really felt like and so she stands guard, for years and years after the war ended, waiting for battle to call her again and wondering what it was like to be a real person, to love a real man and the be a loving mother. If she only had a heart.
