Is there any way to copy/paste these codes?
It would make it ALOT easier for other deviants to use this tutorial and whatnot
But either way, EXCELLENT tutorial I learned a few things about CSS today

This is so helpful!
I know jack squat about CSS code, but your explanations were simple and self-explanatory and easy to follow.

yay! Thanks!
Well, I have a character that you could write about, it's the "mascot" of my cupcake business , it's called "Reina de Vainilla" (or in english "Vanilla Queen"), you can write whatever you like about her, short story, poem...I'll leave it to your imagination ^^
*OoAngeliusoO made an image of her, if you want to take a look ^^ [link]
Thank you so much for this prize

No problemo! I can try and compose a quirky poem that you can use professionally too! That ok?

you should increase the specificity of the reset to ".gr-box *" so that it doesn't accidently reset elements outside the journal
and don't forget "border:none" too
otherwise, it's a great tutorial for beginners

harleshinn In reply to Trinovantes [2010-03-08 12:44:52 +0000 UTC]
I've been using the universal selector so far and never changed a single thing in my DA page, but is not a bad idea to be more specific (I know there's better ways to do some things, but sometimes I'm too lazy to make them right
)
border: none where?
Thank you for the advices and taking the time write a comment.

Trinovantes In reply to harleshinn [2010-03-08 23:40:29 +0000 UTC]
np,
place border:none in the reset because image links will automatically get a border... i think
yea, the universal selector shouldn't change anything because it's the least specific of all selectors and most of da's css have an !important tag too

But I did put the border property

I wanted to write you a critique, but I don't have premium, so I'll write it here.
Your tutorial is quite helpful. It is clear when one tip stops and the next begins. It gives you the necessary information in concise language.
There are a couple things that I would change, however. The first, is the image of what is being changed can be confusing, I would include a before and after to eliminate that confusion.
The second, is the tip after the changed image, in some cases, it is not always clear to what you are referring, perhaps add one of those nifty arrows to point to it.

you're right, I should have done that, maybe I could edit the tutorial ^^

That could be done too ^^
Again, thank you so much ^^
