Yes, here it comes my very first meme. I've been wanting to do this long time, but I suck at making templates, luckily I managed to find free template to use, this one was made by SithVampireMaster27 - template can be found in here.As you can see there are mostly animated characters in my list and most of them are female, I tend to watch series that are animated, I mostly watch anime, and can relate the best to female characters. Anyway, let's get started!
10 - Charlene Davidson (From Original Biker mice from Mars) Charley was once my number one most hated female character. When I was very small I was big fan of Biker Mice, which was concired "wrong" among boys that went same kindergarden as I, just because I was a girl. I never liked the way Charley was kidnapped or used as hostage, what can I say? Those are cliches that annoy me, but she's not bad character, she knows how to handle even most difficult situations and definitely she is no damsel in distress, also she's in her early 20's and already has her own bussiness - Last Chance Garage going on, that's quite impressive! Reason why I still don't like her character - I don't hate her, but I don't really like her either, I just don't find her that interesting.
9 - Harry James Potter (From Harry Potter series) - When I first started reading Harry Potter, I was 11-years by that time, I liked Harry's character, I thought he was awesome character, but at that time I didn't pay too much attention to characters I liked, it wasn't until I re-read the books few years ago and realeased that Harry wasn't that interesting character, you know if J.K Rowling had written the books wrong Harry would've ended up being too perfect in any way, but luckily J.K Rowling knew what not to do with his character. Okay, he had bad childhood, no one really cared for him, but so what? World isn't fair. And after he kicked Voldemort ass he got happy ending with his girl, everything was fine, you would think he would suffer from something he had seen during his long journey, but no, everything is fine. I don't hate the books or movies, they're done good, I still have favorite characters, Harry just isn't one of them.
8 - Sakura Haruno (Naruto) I liked Sakura when I started to read the manga, but I didn't have much of brains that time. Soon Sakura's personality and Sasuke-fan girlism started to annoy me, and the fact she never could do anything, she just whined about things and needed to be saved, she was always mean to Naruto who tried to do his best for her, but nothing was enough. I admit she got better in Shippuden, but she still annoys the hell out of me, she hits Naruto for no reason of all and she's basically just a copy of my favorite character in the whole series, who also happened to be her master. Sakura could be higher on this list but there are more horrible characters than her.
7 - Jason Grace (Heroes of Olympus) A son of Jupiter, king of the heavens, favorite of Juno, the best Roman half-blood we have, who happens to have perfect looks and skills of fighting. He's basically Superman. I liked him at first, but as I read the book I realized that this guy can't never beat Percy, Percy is in my opinion better more likeable character in any way. At the ending Jason started to go on how he beat some bad guys during the Titan war, he already managed to bore me with his "I don't remember anything! Oh, Thalia is my lost sister!"-crap so I was like "Shut up already!" I don't like Jason as a character, no matter how much exiting things there are in his past, no matter how awesome his character may be, I find him boring.
6 - Piper McLean (Heroes of Olympus) My god, this character is the reason I didn't finish the Mark of Athena. I know how many people go on about Piper being a Mary-Sue, but even if she is there's much worse Sues existing out there. Like Jason, I did like Piper's character at first, but soon enough her personality started get to me, seriously your father is rich and you're so unhappy so you steal cars to get his attention? Your father gets kidnapped and you can't tell your friends - I don't remember anymore why and I don't care but seriously they are your freaking friends, if you can't trust them, you can't trust anyone. And her pushy relationship with Jason, please you weren't his girlfriend or anything, not really. I don't like how Piper was written as tomboy yet she's pretty as hell, I get that she's daughter of Aphrodite but still. She's not even half as useful as Annabeth is.
5 - André Grandier (Versailles no Bara) I love this anime and manga, I love Oscar's character, but I hate André. Yet again this is one of those characters I find boring. He seems to me as a forced love-interest, okay, he looses his sight for Oscar, and whines about how he can't never see her again, but André that was your decision, you were told what would happen. Not to forget the scene where he tried to poison Oscar to dead prevent her for getting married to another man, okay he's madly in love with the woman he can never have, I get that, but taking or almost taking her life seemed pretty damn selfish to me, I'm sorry André you won't get any sympathy from me.
4 - Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ruyzaki and Fuu Hououji (Magic Knight Rayearth) This series is way too overrated as are these characters. I've read the manga almost all volumes, I don't like these characters one bit, there's nothing to like, they have no distinctive personalities, they are all the same, thwir friendship is poorly written. I mean when they just met everyone's like I would die for you if it came to it! But seriously they don't know anything about each other, they never fight, like good friends sometimes tend to do, it's like they are written to be perfect, no mistakes, no personality, no nothing there's to like or learn about these characters.
3 - Usagi Tsukino, Mamoru Chiba and ChibiUsa (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) Yet another trio of overrated characters. Usagi is selfish crybaby, reincarnated moon princess and future queen of our planet, Mamoru is her sweetheart reincarnated once prince of Earth destined to become Earth's new king with his girlfriend, ChibiUsa is spoiled future-daughter of the two. When I started to watch Sailor Moon, even then I asked to myself what's with this character? Then I read that Japanese liked crybaby-characters, they found it cute. I learned to like Usagi, until now, she's the special one, she's the friend you can always count on but no matter how I try to look it, I hate her character, she's better in the manga - and would be in the new series as well if it weren't for Kotono Mitsuishi's voice. But still I don't like her character, maybe it's because what she did in her past life, killed herself when her lover was gone, that's something I've already hated, even if this is anime/manga no guy is worth of taking your own life. Besides Sailor Moon is always saved by her man, only season I started to like her character was the final season, then there was no Mamoru, no future daughter around, in the manga Sailor Moon even have to deal with her friends dying around her and she can't stop it, that's the character development I like. As for Mamoru, in the first anime he's not very interesting person, in the manga he has few moments but that's it, ChibiUsa is spoiled brat who everyone seems to like, I don't remember her that much from the anime but when I read the Black Moon Arc again, I noticed how annoying she was, she freaking stole her mom's sailor crystal for her own needs - causing the fall of her own planet, then she wanted to have her own father as her lover as she was turned into Black Lady, she caused much trouble but at least one of them caused her to loose someone she held very dear. Sometimes I feel Sailor Moon is overrated series, but there's few characters I like, these three aren't one of those. One thing that annoys me the most is that Usagi and Mamoru are meant to be, but what about other Sailors? They do deserve love too, not just her..
2 - "Snow Queen" Elsa of Arendelle (Frozen) I know I'm getting lot of hate for saying this, but I hate Elsa. She's no snow queen, she's just pitiful excuse for a woman that can't control her emotions. Her personality constits of fear, I mean Elsa could've been and would've been bad ass character, but they changed her. I would've loved to see evil Elsa, but instead we get this one. What bugs me the most is that she just runs way and freezes her kingdom entirely. When I saw this movie I was like, hey didn't you bother to watch what happened around you? And why couldn't she just tell Anna about her powers after the death of their parents? Another thing is she basically was locked away in her room, so she could control her powers, but it looked to me that she didn't even try to control over her powers, it's not her fault of course, blaim it on her parents will you? Then she froze her sister's heart and everyone forgives her. Still there's the ending where Elsa fully controls her magic but how long? I mean everyone has bad days, what will happen when she does?
1 - April O'Neil (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012) or as I like to call her April Mary Sue O'Neil. Or just Canon Sue. Few of those I've been talking on deviantart, know that before I started to watch the series, I was mostly enchanted by this new April thanks to her lovely desing. I was sure she would become my favorite, but well she didn't. When I saw her, I felt nothing towards her character, she wasn't interesting, she didn't do anything other than be captured, saved by our heroes - oh, wait wasn't that what 1980 version did? At least she was likeable, this one however is not. She's the special one, she is going to be kunoichi, she receives a weapon meant for master Splinter's not so dead daughter (who became my favorite instead of April-Sue), she's soon discovered to be special and the reason why the Kraang are doing what they are doing, as she's the one known as the one - for April is half-Kraang and possess Carrie White kind of powers, meaning she's the center of the universe. It would be okay if she was likeable, well she isn't. She acts bratty and is over-confident at times, sometimes I feel like she doesn't even apreciate what the turtles are doing for her, I also feel that she's only using Donatello's feelings for her - I can't explain this, it's just a feeling I get. Donnie deserves someone much better than April. When I first heard of Donnie having a crush on April, I was looking foward of seeing it, I mean I thought it would be cute to watch, and it could've been if there would be any chemistry or that kind of friendship between them as in the 2003 version, but there isn't. Oh and did I mention how quickly she mastered tessenjutsu yet Karai and turtles spent years learning their own fighting styles. April is the main reason I've started to loose my interest on this series.
As for recent episodes I admit I'm really close to saying goodbye to the whole series. April just does that. Every time I recall her being in trouble she uses her powers which she perfectly masters now and takes care of everything. I hate how they haven't explained what April actually is and those "special" powers of her. I think they have highlighted April speciality mainly her psychic powers in the beggining episodes of season 3, sorry to say but I rather would like to see turtles and Casey in action not this bitch.

Boy am I glad I haven't really read any HP fanfiction, just wondering why the avatar characters are made bland, wouldn't it be more fun of writing someone that is actually interesting? For me I couldn't stand for writing a boring character, but maybe the writer doesn't always notice his/her character is boring.
Kishimoto could've done better with many of his female characters, but he never did, it's like they are in the story just to fill the empty place or as if they were just there for female readers who can say afterwards "Hwy, there's some awesome girl power in this series too!" - but there really isn't. There's just Sakura trying to copy Tsunade every way she can. Tsunade is the best female character there is, no doubt about it, when Kishimoto put her into coma I thought he was going to kill her off too like other sannin but luckily he did not. However what was the point of putting her into coma at the first place? Like you said, it was just because she couldn't do anything interesting.
As for number five I agree it could be lot worse but he still bugs me. So you hate MKR as well? Wow, all I've ever heard is people praising this series - there was even some "I praise CLAMP as goddesses!"-text in the first volume of manga, which made me wanna vomit. When I was reading the manga I couldn't enjoy the story, if there even was something to enjoy, I just kept facepalming to the characters and dialogue, how can someone come up with a story like this? I'm seriously bothered by the way it's illustrated as well, it looks to me like they use way too much mascara and those eyes! They just creep me out .__.
I expected a lot from Disney's Frozen, I was seriously dissapointed, ok the film was pretty good, but it could've been way better. I didn't like Elsa's character, I tried to, but I just didn't. She would've been better if she wasn't pitiful all the time, I would've loved to see her fighting - I guess we kind of see her fighting, but it could've been better, a lot better. I think if Elsa would've been villain like she was going to be, she could've been much more interesting as a character, at least it seemed so in that deleted scene.
I would suggest reading Sailor Moon manga first before watching the anime, 90's anime is almost all-filler and even though it has it's good moments I wouldn't recommend it, if a main character that cries and whines every time annoys you, the first season she does that in every episode I can think of. New anime is based on the manga and it's way better unless we don't count those "I've met you before"/love at first sight-moments Usagi and Mamoru share, I hate that love at first sight rubbish.
And finally we get to April. My god what have they done to my childhood hero! They turned into a character I can't stand, I've started to think of her as one of possible villains in the show. The series is good, the characters are done well - expect for you April. In the first season she was tolerable, she still annoyed the hell out of me with her special talents, I mean was it necessary to do that? Were the creators trying to make her more important characters? Jeez, wasn't this series called "Teenage mutant ninja turtles"? not "APRIL O'NEAL - center of the universe". Second season has dissapointed me in every way possible. April, I've really learn how to hate her, with her personality and all. After her awesome powers were revealed I really thought I wouldn't watch this show anymore. Besides April shouldn't be the most important female character, have the creators of this show completely forgotten master Splinter's daughter? What was her purpose in the show anyway? To get mutated and then vanish from the show? Yet we get more April is this, April did that episodes. This is why I'm re-watching 2003 series.

the reason the avatar character is bland is so anyone can insert their self into the role. It's completely on purpose, as it makes it more likely for people to relate.
I could write an essay on how kishimoto has let down most of his readers with his decisions, but that would take time/energy I don't have.
yeah, you don't see much clamp hate in the anime/manga community. which is weird, because... well, they aren't that good. meh, I guess being an all female group of artists/writers offers some flak protection *shrugs*
going to watch frozen tomorrow with my kids, should be interesting.
I have in fact read the manga, it was pretty decent (nothing great, but at least it wasn't horrible.) But unfortunately it was the anime that popularized the series, so it gets my hate.
no idea what the writers are on for TMNT, but I could use some.

I see. I never found it easy to relate title character with uninteresting personality though. Kishimoto himself admitted that he can't draw "cute" female characters but it seems he can't write them good either, one of many reasons I was bored while reading Naruto is the over extended plot and then some of the characters.
I haven't read anything else by CLAMP, I watched Cardcaptor Sakura when I was teen but in the end I stopped watching it after twelve episodes, only reason I started reading MKR was because I heard many liked it, I'm not even thinking of watching the anime or reading more CLAMP.
Good luck with that! I'm not big fan of Frozen, seen it once and that's it, I think there's better movies by Disney out there.
When I first read Sailor Moon manga, I loved it but as I re-read some of the volumes last summer it just felt lame. This popularized thing I don't understand, anime isn't even that great or the animation at least with two first seasons, I guess it was big thing back then.
Just wondering how do the original creators feel about the new series, I heard that one of them disliked female mutants and stuff.

Opinion on frozen- It's alright. Opinion on Elsa- possible ptsd from almost killing her sister coupled with horrible parenting = kinda screwed up life.
As for the popularization... well, the reason it became popular is pretty obvious: cheesecake sells. It's fluff, but it's fluff that involves a minute+ transformation sequence where an overdeveloped for her age girl technically gets naked. A large portion of the viewing demographic thinks with their penis. A+B=$$$
As for what the creators think, they're probably glad that it exists because They still get paid for the rights to use it. But if you want a more definitive answer, you could possibly ask them. Here's a link to Peter Laird's blog peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot.com/
I'd post a link to the other creator's blog, but I'm slightly annoyed at him for enjoying Bay's version of the turtles.

One thing I didn't like the Frozen was the thing that whatever they did they just had to sing, I get it was a musical but still some of the songs slightly annoyed me, but the characters were great or as much I can remember of them. I didn't get the parents though, no wonder Elsa didn't grow up all messed up since they just kept her in her bedroom, that could or most likely should result with something.
Thanks for the link, I don't think I'm going to ask stupid questions, but it would be interesting reading the blog Can I ask what exactly was wrong with Bay movie, I really liked it, only think I didn't like was Karai's pointless role, seriously she didn't do much, they could've just added someone else in her place.

overall, it was acceptable. However, there were enough issues that annoyed my on a personal level (read as- nitpicks) to keep me from enjoying the film. Add that to it being money in Bay's pocket after what he did to the transformers...
*sigh*
It's honestly mostly transference, but still.

I haven't watch transformers, but I've heard enough from my sister. I heard some people liked it okay, but I don't think I'll ever watch it.

No worries, you summerised well.
Although you forgot to mention the fact that she is still in love with a guy that has tried to kill her more than once.
