Yeah, 30 days is very long, anything can happen. Tara not changing Karl is just one option. The other is much more troubling. Karl slowly losing his identity, forget to think and becoming a lifeless pair of high-heels. That way Tara can't change him back since Karl no longer exist. It would be a very sad end but Karl thoughts suggest something like this!
