"Yonwei...You are in a lot of trouble, young man," Russel growled, closing in on the wyngling, "What do you have to say for yourself?"

Yonwei simply blinked a few times, He gazed stupidly up at the sheriff, a confused expression pinned to his face. "Say..for myself?" he repeated, dumbly.

"Yes," Russel rumbled, his eyes narrowing as he tried to ignore the slight look of fear that sprang up as he moved even closer to the wyngling. Kid was probably faking it for sympathy. At least that's what he told himself. "So?"

Yonwei stood up, glancing around at his surroundings before returning his gaze to Russel. "I, uh...I don't know," he said, a small tremor in his voice, "Did I...did I do something wrong?"

Russel sucked in his breath. "Did you do something wrong? Maybe all the theft? Running your little gang of hooligans for a month. I'd call that pretty wrong, kid!"

Russel felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up to see Dr. F. "Wait a second, Rus."

The doctor leaned towards Yonwei, "Do you know who Russel is or what he's talking about?"

The wyngling shook his head. Dr. F hesitated before continuing with one more question.

"Do you know who you are? What your name is?"

Again, a negative response.

Dr. F sighed before straightening up. "Russel, didn't you say he'd fallen off a roof when you caught him?"

"Yeah?"

"Any chance he hit his head on the way down?"

"Oh," Russel returned his gaze to Yonwei for a moment before being ushered away by Dr. F. The two spoke on the other side of the office for a few minutes. Their words were hushed.

Yonwei, who was curious as to what was going on, leaned forward, managing to catch bits and pieces of the conversation.

"It appears he doesn't-"

"-faking it?"

"-matters not-"

"-get to Alma with him."

Suddenly, both adults turned to look at him, making him self-conscious. Russel cleared his throat.

"We...We're going to take you to Alma now. Do ya remember her? She cared for ya."

Yonwei, again, shook his head. Russel let out a dismayed sigh.

"Come on, Doc. I'm gonna need you with me to explain this one."

Russel picked up Yonwei by the scruff before heading out the door, the doctor not far behind him.

They were off to the nook.
