Description
My rebuild version of Toa Takanuva. This is one of my older Hero Factory-era MoCs, and besides a few revisions is basically the same as I originally made. I'm quite fond of this figure, and the main reason is because I used so many of Takanuva's original parts in it, especially the armor. I was so used to Takanuva having that dark golden armor that I decided to keep just his mask, chest plate, and shoulder pads and make the rest of him white and grey. His staff is meant to be halfway between his original one and the trident he had when he gained Shadow powers.Speaking of Shadow powers, I decided to give my version of Takanuva some remnant of the dark power he once controlled, and so his right arm is meant to look corrupted with a different skeleton, hand, and armor, as well as a flexible growth extending from the armor into his body. This arm also carries a devastating Shadow blaster. I know it's not canon, but it's cool. Though I don't think the corruption effect looks as good as it could: if anyone has any recommendations to improve it, I'd love to hear them.

Take the one shoulder armor and swap it with either a different color or a different one completely that is in a darker color

I did try that at one point, but I didn't like the implication. Having the corruption spread that far implies that Takanuva was slowly losing against the darkness, while having both shoulders identical implies that he has the power contained within that one arm, and might in fact be pushing it back.

Ahh ok. Idk what colors you have access to for the arm armor but what about a darker color or just removing it completely to show the corruption has either tainted or removed the armor but still gives the impact that he is fighting it off enough to keep it in the arm.

I have tried bits like claws and growths on the armor to make it spikier, but it make the arm look unnecessarily bulky.

Ahh then, I'm out of suggestions. But its a very good rebuild, only thing I don't like about it how bulky the staff looks.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna do a little tweaking to remove some of the HF parts and replace them with older Bionicle parts. Probably after I fix up my big old group shot for the Toa Mata.

I like how you use agori bodies as a back pack.

I love those bodies. I got a whole bunch of them from all of the Bionicle Legends that were on sale when the line ended. They're great for adding color and mass to the back of the figure, and you can attach stuff to them like wings or extra weapons.
