Description

Monophobia. It's a fear of being alone or having a specific group of friends or family, not being there, leaving you to cope without them. Brody is one of those engines, who has this kind of anxiety. In the past, he was majorly depressed over his coaches, Rose and Violet, being sent to a heritage site while the furness engine had to stay on the BR without them, leaving him to be sent to storage until the 80s. In the 80s, he was able to overcome his depression when he was reunited with his coach sisters and became excited and happy again.

However, the problem came back. When Rose and Violet were required to have maintenance, Brody wasn't happy about it, meaning he couldn't be with them. He tried his best to get them out of it until the two girls mentioned it was important to them and promised that they will be back to support him soon enough. He understood but that left him sad and worried again. Without his coaches, he feels alone again, like way before. During one of the days, he refused to leave the sheds and to do his work. Knowing how the required maintenance affected him, Richard Hatt (The Fat Controller) agreed to have him take some time off but at the same time, ask Claire and Michael to look after him for now. Both the LMS engine and Brody's twin tried their best to comfort him and to help him overcome his monophobia. In the end, Brody would soon become happy again when his coaches returned from maintenance and everything went back to normal.
