"The Island of Sodor were in a depth of devastation, ever since after the War. With Gordon taking the sacrifce against Alfired, Toby moving to the Mainland and with the other poor NWR engines that were exploded in the Knapford Bombing, the NWR lost it's controller (after he resigned) and had to do things on their own, as a team. With no one leading them, it was slowing plunging down. Marie (Thomas' Mother) was pulling Annie and Clarbel on Thomas' old branch line. They were all very devastated, especially the two sisterly coaches. Marie agreed to look after his branch line with Liz, Timothy, Abraham and Delilah; as she claims "it's want they would want". As they arrive towards the nearly empty station - due to low passengers, which would affect the NWR more - Liz was talking to Bertie, remembering their nostagic events and pasts about Thomas and Percy, as Delilah went pass, pulling trucks of coal to the docks. Marie, Annie and Clarbel would join into their conversation, remembering when Thomas was first built, first coming to Sodor and when they first met Thomas, respectively. Bertie remembers about his race with Thomas and how he "should've have grown wings and became an aeroplane", which did bring a smile to Marie, the coaches and Liz. And Liz, remembers her early days on the GWR with Percy, before leaving for Anopha Quarry."
