Description Just a colored version of my 'Fox Cub' sketch. Fixed a few small problems I saw, other than that it's the same sketch.

The original sketch will be moved to scraps in a few days, no need for duplicate items.

Inking and coloring done in photoshop CS3.

Original done in 2HB Pencil.

--edit-
Sorry for the typo earlier. Was in a hurry and spell check did not flag it. I apologize if it offended anyone.

Thanks. Hard to believe how far I have come in just 3 months. Going from barely able to sketch a fox head to doing a dang good job on a full fox. Even one of my co-workers posted a printout of this fox.

I think these colors are about all I'll use on foxes. I might change the tone a bit, but only when I actually sit down to work on the characters in my graphic novel I'm working on (still months off though). I just have to think up names that don't sound retarded :lol. .

Indeed, it's great how much you've improved! If only I had the time, the energy and the motivation to delve into drawing... hmmm... maybe I'll have at some point... but not at the moment ^_^;;

Thanks. The line are took a while. the sketching took about 3 hours (most of that in the legs and feet oddly) and the inking another 30 minutes. Coloring took all of 10 minutes.

The colors are right out of AOFW season 3. I have a pallet of all the characters I use.

Your not missing a lot, Though it was still a fair season (better than none at all). Like I said in the forum, I'm glad a 4th season never happened. Fox was very old (much older than a real fox in the wild would ever live to by nearly 3x) and going by the other clues in season 3, I'd speculate that fox would have died in season 4.

thanks, should give an attempt at true cell shading one day. After watching wolfs rain it's amazing what a few simple shadows can do.

my method for cell shading is pretty easy but works alot better if you are familiar with how to use layers

I am quite familiar with layers. Coloring this photo was done with layers. Simply use the magic wand on an area in your line art and switch to an empty layer and dump your color. Repeat till it's done. Then look over everything and make sure nothing was forgotten or has errors.
Layers also are nice if you only want to change a part of your work. Something I wish I could do with my original sketches. One day I need a better tablet so I can do everything digitally. Sadly with going back to collage I don't have much spare cash anymore.

Thanks, I could give it a go. Not much to do today but listen to music anyway. Tomorrow I will be busy, off to Das Rheinland restaurant, then spend time with the family .
