Description An idea I had at work today. A wolf defending his territory from an intruder. Done with my 2HB drafting pencil in about 45 minutes.

Ah, you made a mistake that I also make, from time to time. The proportions aren't right. The front, like breast, head or the stomache looks good, but your back legs are far too thick. But nice to meet someone here who isn't a perfect artist, so I don't feel like a n00b xD

I'm curious which one's defending their territory ... to me it looks like the one on the right, as he (she?)'s more aggressive looking .... but then ~Dutch-Wolf said it was the other one. Am confuzed ... but great drawing though. I can feel the tension between the two wolves.

It is the wolf on the right. Still working on getting facial expressions right. Worked so hard on that I forgot about the ears.

Need to work on backgrounds soon, this one could have been great with a background and touching up a few minor errors.

And they are both male. Taking a key from other wolf artists here I always draw chin hair on males, so look for that as the key.

Nice work, although the defending wolf (the one with the tail between his/her legs) should also fold back his/her ears.

Thanks. I never thought of his ears. Guess I should have tried to explain the drawing more as well, not use to tying a story to a drawing. The one on the right is defending his territory from the one on the left (the reason why that one is backing off), all part of the learning processes I guess. Thanks for the feedback!
