Description i remade a guide for my smol species, dolus dragons/dolos

they can be called dolus (singular) or dolos (plural) btw

stuff not mentioned on the guide:

size: Dolos are generally small. They can range from the size of a large rabbit to the size of a fox. There are some exceptions: the larger ones are easier to notice than the tiny ones. (i'll have to draw a size comparison)

diet:
Dolos need little sustenance to survive, but this doesn't stop them from eating anything they can get their grabby little paws on. Tastes depend on the individual Dolus, but most generally prefer sweet, savory, and/or sour things. They can expand their mouths to great sizes, so size generally isn't an issue. And if it is, they can squish whatever they want to eat down with their wings. (Yes, Dolos are capable of eating their own kind, but do not do so except on rare occasions. You can't make your Dolos a cannibal.)

health: Most of a Dolus's strength comes from the parasite that is their 'wings'. Fortunately and unfortunately for them, the wings need only a small amount of magic energy to survive, stealing it from their host-- the dolus. Dolos can absorb a small amount of magic from what they eat, though, so this is a large part of the reason why they eat. They can also absorb energy from the sky-- so, by lying down in the light of the sky in whatever time of day, they regain this energy at a decent pace. Some are able to steal energy from the ground, and some are limited to only the night sky or day sky, but these are few and far between, as they survive to pass on part of their DNA less frequently.

magic: All Dolos can use a little bit of magic: as they have no eyes, they use it to 'see', or sense what is around them. This uses up even less energy than the parasite residing inside of them, but it still reduces their energy over time. As previously mentioned, Dolos can regain their energy by skybathing or eating a ton. Most choose to do both, because eating and sleeping are the best parts of life.
There are some that can harness magic in stronger ways, such as flight (floating, actually), color-changing, element-producing, etc., but these uses of magic use much more energy than normal, reducing their chances of survival if they don't keep healthy. The ones that do survive, though, tend to either be strong or huge mooches.

behavior: No two Dolos are the same, but they all split off from one parasite, so they tend to share some similarities. Due to their need to rest every day (usually, it depends on how much energy they use and how good they are at conserving it), Dolos go from active and playful to lazy/sleepy as it gets close to their bedtime. They also tend to be very curious, taking advantage of their wings to poke around at things that would normally be out of reach. Other than this, though, their behaviours vary widely-- some being very aggressive, some being extremely shy. It mostly depends on where and how they grew up after hatching.

society?: Dolos... are generally not very bright. But, they're bright enough to develop small nomadic groups that move with whatever the leader is feeling up to that day. The groups can also be anchored in one spot, but the occupants of the village would need a lot of roaming room so their curiosity can be quenched. What they live in depends on how smart their leader was: they can have structures as complex as treehouses or as simple as holes in the ground.
Keep in mind, the term 'leader' is used loosely here. Dolos usually follow their own free will, but if one is smarter than the rest, they'll at least listen.
The groups of Dolos can interact with each other to get cool new foods or crude clothing items, but it's usually the humans that give them complex objects (which are then, probably, eaten).

interactions with humans: Dolos were created to entertain, but their rapid evolution after their release into the wilds basically erased this. Their playful nature still remains, but other than that, how they treat humans (and other species in general) really depends on individual noodle. Most, at the very least, will not consume humans on sight. Some are even kept as pets, though until they're trained it's advised to keep a close watch on them, lest they consume literally everything you own, or at least break it while trying to investigate.
