Gelatines are quadruped canine-like creatures with solid gel glands along the spine, the back of their legs, and their paw pads. (they feel like the Dr. Scholls gel shoe inserts) These gel glands secrete a liquid form of gel occasionally, which has a neutral - pleasant scent. The scent may become soured of the Gelatine is ill. The secreted gel has healing properties which help regenerate cells, but any injury to the gel glands cannot be healed. Gelatine tail gel glands are thought of to be very delicious, and are often sought out be a multitude of predators; however Gelatines are very elusive and are normally agile enough to escape.

Gelatines are omnivores, and a well-balanced diet includes a variety of seafood along with small rodents and various plant-life. Their teeth are rounded at the tip, so they normally eat foods which are bite size and require little to no tearing. They may consume bone as their digestive organs are lined with thick layers of their gel, which protects the organs from harm.

Their ears can be any shape/type, as well as their tails. (however different shapes of tails are rarer). It is possible for a Gelatine to have more than one tail (which is incredibly rare), but normally will cause the Gelatine to secrete surplus gel due to the extra gland(s). Gelatines can grow hair and coats of any length, style, and color.
