Description
I think that mindset is complete and utter bullshit. In the end, who's not going to Hell? You're supposed to be nice and kind, like they told you to be, right? Not spiteful little bitches that say everyone is going to hell for not thinking like you. Hell doesn't even exist and if it does, then I'd rather hang out with Lucifer than god.
What else should I add to this, guys?
EDIT: People who can't read: nowhere did I state this came from the Bible and nowhere did I state that all religious people think this way. You silly, illiterate people. c:

Eh, the thing is, it's not the place that determines if you have a good time or not: it's the people are you. Personally, I would rather be hanging out with my family, friends, and people that don't walk around like they have something shoved up their ass.
And considering, according to this stamp, all of those people are going to be send to hell, I would rather go down there with them than be stuck up there without them. But my belief is, as long as you're a good person and touch the lives of those around you in a positive way, it doesn't matter what you believe in, who you love, or what your views are: you'll be in a good place at the end.

There was on e guy ranting on one of the walk ways on my campus who condemned pretty much every one to hell. If you were on the campus and there for going to college, you were going to hell. With that logic there either is no heaven or only one person is getting there and he probably thinks it's him.

WELL THEN! were all going to fucking hell because each and everyone of us breaks at least one or more of the ten commandments.
So I call bullshit on that too.

This is fail logic, in it self, because of lack of information. In reality, if we go by your tag, its "rebellious to God, go to hell. Ask for forgiveness, go to heaven and have a wonderful life while your here."

Instead of focusing on 'DOING GOOD DEEDS SO I WILL BE ALLOWED TO SNUGGLE UP TO GOD', let's try doing good deeds because it feels right.

By your logic, anything scientific we believe is a religion then? Science and religion do not belong together as they address the same problems in VERY different ways. Like creation. That doesn't make either one a lie, only a different opinion.
The same logic applies to various peoples' views of a piece of art. Some may not even view it as art, while others may see it as the epitome of artist expression. That doesn't make either party wrong, only varying in opinion.

PuzZzlLPiieCe In reply to BlueEyedMelloon [2012-03-28 19:15:15 +0000 UTC]
no but you look at the art and know there is an artist
π: 0 β©: 1
BlueEyedMelloon In reply to PuzZzlLPiieCe [2012-03-28 19:21:28 +0000 UTC]
Say you view landscapes as art. No pictures, no paint, just what you see in front of your eyes. Then the artist is weather, animals and people that shaped the landscape in that way.
You can argue your point in response to mine or anyone elses, here or anywhere else. If they want to believe they will. But if they are confident in their ideas, then repeating the same religious views over and over will not sway them from what they have set in their minds. People are stubborn. I am one such person.

Nothing in science is "proven". Even things like gravity are considered a theory even though the evidence supporting it is significant. Evolution is also a theory, with evidence to support it. This does not make it a lie. If you look up in the dictionary the word "theory" you will not find the word "lie" in any of the definitions.
You believe in god. I believe in evolution. I'm not saying your wrong, so stop saying I'm wrong.

It makes me angry when fellow Christians preach hate to those around them. Christianity is not about who gets it "right" or "wrong". It's about who repents, and who doesn't. Anyone can do good, and anyone can do evil. Jesus came to heal the hurting, the sick, and the ones who needed Him. Not the stuck up, prideful, or arrogant. Here's one of my favorite verses to illustrate the point:
βTwo men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: βGod, I thank you that I am not like other peopleβrobbers, evildoers, adulterersβor even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.β
βBut the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, βGod, have mercy on me, a sinner.β
βI tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.β

Well, just to inform you, Christians believe in a forgiving and loving God. Committing sin is in human nature so you must prey for forgiveness and mean it (of course for real believers that's really hard to do) and you're no longer going to hell. Of course, you also suffer flesh consequences like jail for murder and pedophilia, etc. And depending on what you did can affect if you're going up or down.
And for the whole, 'YOU'RE GOING TO HELL', When you compete a good deed, you get a crown for each one. But if you commit sin, you are given dried straw. On judgement day, God will set fire to your deeds. Depending on how long it burns and what's left from the fire will determine if you're going to Heaven or Hell. Of course that's in figure of speech, so it determines on your deeds. But, if you aren't Christian, you will not be recognized as one of God's children.
Look, I'm all for the freedom of speech, I'm just making sure I know that you've at least read the Bible for yourself and made your own opinion than google 'THE REAL TRUTH BEHIND THE BIBLE CONSPIRACY ADFKJADLFKDAFAJDFLKDASJFADSLKFJSADLKFAMEALKFSD'.

well i must say u r right for somethings.. no person can deside for other person whether he/she are going to hell or heaven.. if human beings had the power to go to heaven or hell at will.. we wouldn't have been tortured in this so called "life". i am a religious person.. and i know a short story, maybe yo've heard of it... a man who did alot of sinfull things in his life.. lied, stole, killed.. and other bad things.. and when he tried to change, to a better person, he went to a man of religion to help him out, but instead the religious man told him that he will never go to heaven and will go to hell becuase of his uncountable sins.. the man got angry.. and he left.. the religious man had a strange dream, he saw a handsome man in a well-dresses attire and he glows of light, that man spoke to him and said that he was the sinful man who rejected him. and told him that no normal human can decied to tell a person to go to heaven or hell, and that god knowed his true intention to change, so he rewarded him..

*passing by randomly...
There is this joke.
A guy dies and goes to hell (see the stamp above lol). He thinks "Damn, now I am totally in trouble..." but lightens up in amazement as he is being greeted friendly by Satan, who wears swimwear and sunglasses. As he steps in he sees what hell is really like: A beach, lots of happy people sunbathing, swimming, playing ball...
He asks Satan: "So THAT really is what hell is like?"
Satan grins and nods. "Yes that's it."
The man smiles and looks around some more, spotting a high wall.
"What's behind that wall?" he asks and Satan shrugs. "Take a look yourself." the lord of the damned speaks, gesturing inviting at a ladder that stands ready to elevate people so they can look over the pretty high wall.
The guy climbs up and sees the Inferno. Flames, torture, souls in eternal agony, the whole stereotypical view one expects from hell.
He climbs down and asks Satan slightly confused: "But... why are these poor souls in there and not here with us on the beach?"
Satan shrugs and yawns a bit bored. "Oh those are roman catholics, they insist on this treatment when they come here."
