Yep Yet another one of cheesy little romance stories. this time we have Nell of Naga and Gerrad Striker of the sky men.in this story, humanity has separated themselves from the rest of the world and it's varied peoples in great sky-cities. a fragile peace exists between humans and all others mainly due to the fact that humanity is greatly out numbered.
Gerrad is a failed Skyship pilot. due to a red-green color blindness he can never take the wheel of a Skyship but still does what he can as a deck hand.
Gerrad has an accident on the skyship he is serving on and falls to earth battered and broken. he is found by Nell and out of compassion and curiosity she painstakingly nurses Gerrad back to health. and the bulk of the story has their opposing personalities butting heads as they can find no common ground in language, beliefs or personal interests, but Nell is stubborn and refuses to give up until she make this human her friend, simply because she finds him fascinating.

Yeah, I can't remember if I ever commented on this (DA sometimes hide my comments, so I can't check), but I'll say I really like that veil, it's a very imaginative way of solving the flag-effect but the second you see it it feels so simple despite it wasn't obvious. Ironic and interesting.

Normally with similar garments there's two legs to stop it blowing in the winds and revealing what it usually hides, but without that ring all this would do is wave like a flag.
