Description Here is a pic of the painted mechawhale prototype. The figure will be about 11 cm high and roughly 15 cm wide. The shoulders and wrists will be articulated.

Wie wär's mit einer Zusammenarbeit mit Schleich? Die stellen Tierfiguren auf hohem Niveau her. Da sollten sie Deine Mechawhales-Entwürfe auch realisieren können.

Ich finde die Idee genial. Abgesehen davon, daß mich Potwale auch schon immer sehr beeindruckt haben, finde ich großartig, daß die auch mal gegen böse Außerirdische kämpfen und nicht nur umher schwimmen und Tintenfische futtern können.

Vielen Dank! Pottwale fand ich auch immer beindruckend. Schon seit ich als kleiner Junge zum ersten Mal den alten Moby Dick Film mit Gregory Peck gesehen habe. Angeblich jagen Pottwale in der Tiefe der Meere Riesentintenfische. Das macht das Tintenfische futtern wieder cool.

Zumindest müssen sie mit diesen Riesentintenfischen richtig kämpfen, weil die sich nicht einfach fressen lassen, habe ich mal darüber gelesen. War das nicht sogar Vitus B. Dröscher der diesen Text geschrieben hatte? Jedenfalls war es sehr spannend zu lesen, der Kampf zwischen einem Potti und einem Tinti in der Tiefsee.

Ich hatte das nur auf Wikipedia nachgelesen. Dort stand, dass man an den Pottwalen oft noch Narben findet, die von den großen Saugnäpfen der Tintenfische verurscacht worden sind. Der Text klingt aber sehr cool. Muss mal schauen, ob ich den irgendwo finde.

Und in dem Text den ich gelesen habe wurde angedeutet, daß es durchaus möglich ist, daß ein solcher Riesentintenfisch einem Pottwal eine tödliche Wunde beibringen kann, wenn er ihn beißt.

Ein Grund mehr, endlich mal das BlueRay-Laufwerk in den PC einzubauen. Das schiebe ich schon eine Weile vor mir her. Eine BlueRay-Kaminfeuer-DVD (aus versehen gekauft) und zwei Spielfilme habe ich schon. So eine Walfilm-DVD macht sich bestimmt gut in hoher BlueRay-Qualität.

Different coloured armour and weapons will keep things interesting for a long, long time.
Different weapons would be awesome, actually. Such as undercarried chainguns and stuff (big ones on the arms), perhaps?
However did you get this made? This is so awesome!

It ususally takes about 3-4 months for the prototype to be finished.

This one is still a statue made from resin. The actual figure will be articulated at the shoulders and arms and be made of plastic (PVC).
