Four years ago, there was a war. A war which tore the digital world apart.

A hole was punched through the border of reality; a gateway between two worlds, two realities, and two peoples.

Six heroes stood up against the devourer, and saved both their world and the world on the other side.

And all humanity watched.

Present day. The gateway is still open, and Digimon are crossing through into the new world by the hundreds, looking for opportunity, sanctuary, conquest, or survival. Wild Digimon walk the streets, and hide in the shadows, searching for sense in this new world. Gangs of vigilantes stand firm against them, fighting relentlessly against invaders from different world. Tensions are flaring, and more gateways are opening by the day.

When Lonnie McMillan is caught in a chance encounter, she is pulled into a life she’d only ever imagined. With old warriors and new friends by her side, together they stand on the brink between two worlds, fighting to prevent them from tearing each other apart. The Digimon tamers have been assembled once again, and while nobody can be certain what for, or why now, one thing is clear.

The world is changing, whether they’re ready or not.

A new life is rising from the ashes of an ancient war.

It's been too damn long, and 2020 has been too damn much, but here we are. New poster, and a launch date for the next chapter of of the main Digimon Ascending story, Digimon Chasm. You cannot fathom the hype I am feeling for this right now.

Digimon Chasm is a direct sequel to Digimon Inferno, and will be 62 episodes overall, released every Sunday. The main release will be on the Ascending website, but there will also be mirrors on FF.net and DeviantArt (provided I can navigate the...new...writing interface for the latter)

It's been written in such a way that you don't need to have read the other Ascending stories to understand it, but if you haven't yet I would recommend you read Inferno and the Playing with Matches prequel first. And hey, you've got four months between now and release, so...hint hint.

Oh, and expect to see some more artwork between now and then introducing the new tamers, partners and a few key characters.

It's been a long time coming, and we're nearly there. I'll see you in May.
