Personality

Martin is, at first glance, a massive dork. He’ll freely admit it himself, although with a great deal of shame and promises of change. He’s awkward and clumsy even without his D-Psyche, and tends to be a massive stickler for the rules (or at the very least any sort of instruction or moral direction). This tends to get him made fun of a lot as a walking disaster area; a moniker which he refuses to deny out of principle.

However his open and free (if klutzy) nature does give him advantages in an unknown world; he is easily the most approachable of the group and the least likely to go off on a teenage tirade or shrink away. Martin boasts a natural adaptability which allows him to face problems head on, and an innate chivalry which gives him the confidence to stand in front of the less friendly members of the digital world (and his own team) and eke out a solution amidst the heaps of abuse and frequent danger to life. He is probably too patient for his own good, and unbearably naïve with it, but it’s one of the few things he won’t apologise for, determined as he is to find the good (or at least the helpful) in everyone he comes across.

It helps that Martin’s wits are as sharp as his heart is open, allowing him to see things from every angle. If anything he’s too hard on himself, carrying an ever-growing feeling of self-doubt and a tendency to try and balance everyone else’s problems on his shoulders. That said, his heart is in the right place, and if anybody has a chance of calming the mess of teenage angst plucked from nowhere to save the world (again), it’s him.

Personality

Polypmon is…odd. Understandable given their family history and basically everything about them, but it’s still incredibly noticeable. Easily distracted and constantly flipping between five different thought processes at any given time, Polypmon is fairly easy to overcome just due to how easy it is to confuse them.

They are incredibly curious and excitable with it, which can occasionally dull their senses to danger, or their own health and wellbeing. That said, their eternal enthusiasm comes with its benefits since they are always giving it their all in every situation; in conversation or combat. They can be quite blunt and have to talk through their own thought processes when they’re struggling, but they’ll get there in the end.

Sort of. Polypmon doesn’t really hold a moral centre or any kind of overarching loyalty, in direct contrast to their partner. This can cause them anxiety and distress when they come to the ‘wrong’ decision, which in turn just adds to their perpetual confusion. Still, it’s impossible to say that Polypmon is insincere or in any way unfaithful. At the end of the day they are a very nervous and disorientated wreck of a Digimon just trying their very best in every scenario, and really, you can’t ask for more than that.
