I've coded yet another quality of life feature for my game. When you win, you now get a portrait and text from whoever's turn it was last. What's great about this is that by having the option to class change, every new portrait option I add has its workload multiplied by three. So fun. (sarcasm) Though, I think the end result is worth the extra art required. What's the point if you change class and everything is the same besides a few things?Not much left, framework wise! After redoing the code for damage and status effects, all that's left is making the assets for each move individually. But yeah, the battle system has been pimped big time. I'm rather happy with how much my rate of progress has increased.
Btw, regarding my last post, I've completely accepted that >it's over. Well, the concept of the ubermensch is only good for things that require one person. If it requires more, you must necessarily rely on someone else for success. I'm not very good at that, not only with romance but other things too. S'yeah. Nietzsche himself had trouble getting the woman he loved, he wrote her a ton of love letters and everything, but it didn't work out. I read that was part of the reason why he went mad later in life, but who's to say. For me, I'm certain romance could only work if I knew that the guy desired me first. Which won't happen, so it's over. Lol. Well, on the plus side that means that I'll only be working on my game in my free time, so you'll get updates faster. Genetic dead ends will unironically inherit the Earth, boys. Only 7 more years and I become a wizard like Ethan.
