An in-game screenshot... of my own game! Does it count as art if it's your own game's screenshot? Hmm well. Anyway, I got him rigged, and was able to put the default Unreal animations on. So now you can play as Joe! Yayyyy. I took this photo in front of a nice sunset because well, you know whose channel this is. Sorry, no Fortnite default dance because I'll have to do it in Blender and I'm too lazy.Still working out some kinks. You can see his skin clipping through the clothes in some spots. So, even though it's sorta annoying, I think I'll take the make-a-separate-model-for-each-clothing-change approach instead of using a base and putting the clothes on top. The biggest pro to this way is that if you change the base (like the face or something) you only have to do it once. Con is, you might get clipping, as you see here (and in Cyberpunk 2077.) S'yeah. I love the base model, so I don't think I'll change it. And if there's something I do wanna change, well... that's for Joe Maverick 2. Lel.
I also have to change the lighting system for my game now. It looks terrible with low poly (a lot of faces become shaded since it's boxy) so yeah. I might go for a more bright and anime sort of lighting. I had to put a point light here just so you could see Joe's face. Haha. But yeah! Isn't this just exciting? I hope so!
After I finalize Joe's model and add a few more features, I'll release the next demo. Of course, that'll be at my site here: Home | Hax Dev's Development Blog
Btw, that Chicken text isn't supposed to be there, it's because I had to do it in the main editor lol. Many such cases!
