Like tears of a unicorn lost in the rain, chaos will triumph this day! Contest prize for my friend sherkira ! Her entry was a little late, but it was still really awesome! Check it out:I drew her character Nila. Man, it's sure been a while since I've drawn a cell shaded image... this reminds me of my old art. Drawing about a female?✔ Cell shaded lineart?✔ Outdoors with trees in the back?✔ Person actually smiling?✔ Haha, did I draw this three years ago? I've completely gone in the opposite direction now, lol.

Right? That phrase is actually from a song from the band Gloryhammer, called Apocalypse 1992. It was in my friend recessartjunk's mixtape, and once I heard it I couldn't get it out of my head. What can I say, I love rock and roll fantasy songs!
I've been surprised from the amount of people that say they like this style too! I personally find it a lot more challenging to make the colors all mix together with all the lines. Guess I'll use it on occasion then!

Oh, no no no! I don't miss it at all, I like painting way better! It's way easier to change something. I did this because her entry was a little late, so she got the third place prize (a cell shaded drawing.) It'd been a while since I'd done it, okay, well. Maybe I did miss it a little bit. I'm glad you like it!

You would know! You've got the older angular style, and the oil paint style, and the newer more round style. If I had to be honest, I want to see you paint something realistic again! That would be really cool. Oh yeah, could you give me any tips on doing that? I've been trying, but haven't managed to get it quite right just yet.

Oh them paintings took me a lot of time to do, if I draw them, I usually don't stop until I feel it quite right, it takes me a whole week to do one image, that's why I switched to lazy mode. More art means more fun, hehehe! But maybe if i always paint, I would've been used to it by now, I'd be faster than before maybe, who knows. A wasted opportunity. Haha nevermind me, I'm just talking to myself here... haha!

Y-yeah... but my brush settings have been reset when the app updated, so I'll never be able to replicate the same effect and technique that I used from my previous ones. I should've saved it first hahaha.

OMG OMG OMG OMG this is so good out of all the problems you've done over the years cell has always been my favorite from you especially when you draw Nila I mean it's so good. And I got to say you outdone yourself with her I mean the background and the colors are all so clear and crisp it's just amazing I cannot express how happy I am right now. Thank you so much and you're right this cell piece is like a huge upgrade an example of how good you are compared this to your older works I believe to me is a huge Improvement how far you've come. Like always take pride in your art and improvements and always strive to be better

I'm really glad that you like it! I didn't know that I had fans of my cell shaded style, maybe I'll use it from time to time. Yeah, people always tell me to take pride in my work, though I'm a little hesitant to do so because there's always someone better than me. But yeah, thanks!
