Well, this came outta nowhere for me. I happened to be on youtube looking at some videos for the new Google Stadia that's coming out, and someone mentioned the Power Rangers fighting game for the switch. Needless to say I looked it up (I didn't know it existed) and I find out that somehow they made Ryu a power ranger?! Like, he's got a transformation and everything. As someone who grew up with both Power Rangers and Street Fighter this is awesome. Whoever thought of this is not being paid enough, like dang! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Also, his zord would definitely be a dragon. That would be sick.

So yeah, I decided to draw him because look at that design! So cool! But it was certainly challenging for me. His face in particular took me a while to do, I think because I'm trying to make my art more three dimensional. I had to refine it quite a few times, but it finally turned out ok. I also finally managed to draw a picture from a bottom up perspective! (I think this is anyway.) Basically I tried out a lot of new stuff for this one. I like how it turned out, less painterly and more renderlike, which is what I'm aiming for. Still gotta work more on realism though.

I'm still planning on drawing more females, so don't worry about that. I just got inspired for this one, so I listened to my urge. Uh, yeah. I think the background still needs something, but I don't know what so I left it as is. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, idk. But yeah, tell me what you think about it.
