I used to want to get my paintings done as quick as possible before... but someone once told me it's not exactly a race. Since then I've spent as long as needed to make sure my deviations were pixel perfect before uploading them.

I'm glad I posted the W.I.P then...

I painted it the same way I paint all my deviations. I have some steps I follow which involve starting out with painting the whole picture in black and white to get the right tones then painting on a new layer in colour. I then go into fine detail by zooming into the drawing and painting with the brush setting set to a low flow.

It took ages ! I can't say how long it took in terms of hours but on-off it took about 4 months in total or near about to paint. o.O

I know Altair-creed.... I don't know who I love more from them. They're both accomplished in their own worlds. It's a shame they'll never meet face to face.

Yes I drew this. It took me months upon months to detail each and every part of it. But it was worth it in the end. I know what you mean. If I was an outsider I would have thought it was just the wallpaper too. I guess that's a good thing then.

A lot must have changed in between that time in terms laws and regulation within the creed. I'd love for the next Assassin's Creed title to be based on the times between Altair and Ezio with a completely new assassin. There are so many civilizations and eras to pick from. I'm sure Ubi Soft will surprise us all once again.

I loved how we start off as a rookie and learn every technique slowly with Ezio just like his character was at the beginning of AC II.

But in the same way I love how Altair is already an accomplished Assassin before the events of Assassin's Creed. And then goes on to becoming Master Assassin at such a young age. Its good that they didn't include a chapter with Altair as a beginner learning his trade. It would ruin the image I have of him being this cold-hearted born-to-fight Assassin.

Oh I'm not the artist behind Assassin's Creed... lol Let me clarify that.

I have created this piece from scratch alright, but the original pic was a 3D rendering from UBISOFT (which was posted in many game magazines and sites)

I went ahead and made a sketch out of the original 3D wallpaper and THEN painted from start to finish... You may notice how mine isn't all smooth and shiny like the original 3D renders.

I only wish I was the man behind Assassin's Creed's concept art
