Indeed you have, thankyou so much, I just loved how everyone did all the digital stuff, but I could never get anywhere near as good, I suppose your tutorial was just the thing I needed to get started, so every bit of thanks is well deserved. And I also hope you too dont stop producing such amazing works as you have.
It takes a real honorable person to share their knowledge to help improve the skills of others but an even kinder and selfless one to take the time to listen to those who aspire to him.

Thanks Zendar13 ! You're far too kind.
I made this tutorial to help people because I know that's what I'd have wanted when I was starting out. And I always reply back to comments posted on my work as well. Most artist's don't reply and that's fine (who am I to make judgement on their spare time) but I always do because I'm thankful for the appreciation. Without support from my admirers I'm a nobody.

Well done. Really impressive work; thank you for the explanations about details as well. I'm rather surprised you only use the one type of brush for this amount of detail!

Hax09 In reply to ashigaru [2012-01-05 13:31:17 +0000 UTC]
Thanks Ashigaru !
Yeah I've always got by using that brush setting alone. I tried using custom brushes and some of that chalk brush and what-not to add some texture but it only slowed down the process as the shape was jagged therefore unwanted shapes would form where I wouldn't want them. With the default hard brush it was a single point. You are the master, you decided what goes where....
Sounds lame I know but I like to have full control over my painting.

Sounds perfectly fine to me. You've found a great system that produced the effects and art you wanted to make. Your art speaks for itself; very beautifully rendered, great detail, lighting, textures and special effects. Very professional work.
Thanks again for sharing your techniques with us! Quite inspirational!

Wow...a tutorial that is actually easy to understand? Is there such a thing! aparently so
This is by far the most clear and well explained walkthrough tutuorial that can be applied to many other imaginative projects. I thankyou very much as I didn't know the colour think, Ive always tried to start from straight colour and...well never truns out well...this however allows me to add the drawing aspect fisrt and shading as though working with graphite and then apply collour after!!! you are a legend!

Hey Zender13 ! Thanks for the comment !
I used to do the same thing when I first got my pen tablet. I'd just jump right into Photoshop. No sketch, no plan, nothing and just think I could paint from scratch. I found it really difficult after a while.
I'm glad my tutorial helped you and was easy to understand. I hope you do well in your future projects !

Thank you!
Learning how to paint using my Photoshop program is high on my list of things to do. So tutorials like yours are really helpful since I have minimal experience with the digital side of things. I finally picked up a tablet, now I just have to start practicing.

Hax09 In reply to Abbyanna [2012-01-08 01:41:13 +0000 UTC]
Good job.
I would just go for it now. I remembered when I bought mine and I drew a few pics on the first week then just let it gather dust for a few months after being discouraged by my lack of quality.... What I should have done was to continue practising...
As Thomas Edison would say: βMany of lifeβs failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.β

Great quote! I don't recall hearing that one before.
Thanks for the encouragement
Hopefully sometime soon I will have a project on the digital side of things that I will feel comfortable enough to upload. As for now, I'm just storing those disasters.

Thanks for the tutorial

I know what you mean... I look at some tutorials and think the same thing. Best thing to do is just go for it. It's the only way to find out for sure. You may even end up surprising yourself.

Amazing tutorial. You concentrated on the important things, with pointing out the necessary details, like brush or colormode. And i really like how well structured you paint

I started working like this quite a while ago. I don't get how some people (professional artists included) can work with sooo many layers without a name. I only used about 3-4 layers in total.

Nice tutorial! However, I feel compelled to ask: Why is this in the DC-Comic-Lovers Group? Iron Man and War Machine are properties belonging to Marvel Entertainment/Marvel Comics, not DC.

Hax09 In reply to BK-Endeavors [2012-01-03 18:27:54 +0000 UTC]
Ahhh. That I cannot explain... I don't have much knowledge about Comics. Something in the back of my mind told me it was D.C Comics but I guess I was wrong. I think I may have been browsing online and got the Avengers and Justice League mixed up
sorry....

Nah, no problem. It happens.
To reiterate, I merely meant to clarify, not to criticize. The tutorial is really great. I definitely took some solid information from it regarding detailing and structuring.
Just wanted to let you know, as others may note it as well.
Keep up the killer work!
Cheers!
