“Anyway, have we really made it in time-” Devonshire couldn’t finish his sentence for the ground started shaking vigorously. The room was trembling so strongly such that all of the rogues could barely stand. Even Noir, who had been living in the tower for some time, was startled by the situation. The dark “bowling ball” was surrounded by some unknown energy and floated out of Devonshire’s hands, and was sealed in thick ice. Within a split second, the room was frozen with crystal clear ice. The quakes had finally stopped.

“NO! ICE…?” Devonshire exclaimed. He looked as if he was about to bite someone’s head off. “WE WERE AT THE ALTAR…” he said with his creepier-than-usual tone, while sinking into his shadow.

“YOU…” The angry Sableye stared at his subordinates. “HAVE FAILED.” All the rogues in the room were so scared that they cowered against each other. Noir wasn’t really that afraid since he had been living with frightening ghost Pokemon for the longest time he could remember. Instead of cowering like others, he reached his hands to Meri and held her tight to himself, blushing. “Uwaaaa~~” Meri was startled by the situation and blushed as well. She could have fought back, but her strength was little compared to Noir’s, let alone the fact that she lacked limbs.

Devonshire continued sinking into his shadow. “yOU mAy FIND yOUR wAy OUT. ALONE. GOOD LUCK.” He sunk further, laughing creepily until he finally disappeared into the ground.

The rogues, still trembling from fear, figured their leader had already left; they followed the way they entered the tower out. Noir was still hugging Meri, only to be punched by Leon. “STOP DOING STRANGE STUFF TO MERI!” Meri was bright red and hid behind Leon again. Since Noir was a ghost-type, Leon’s punches could do nothing to him. The mischievous Haunter chuckled a bit and followed the team out of the tower.
