It was painted right about the time of Dragon Age's release so it probably did have a little to do with the choice of subject matter. It wasn't directly related though.

That dragon is WICKED. I really like him.
I love all the characters and action going on too.
The only thing I would recommend is that the clouds behind the dragon's head (and even under his neck, behind your hero) should be muted a bit. I think this would add more depth to your piece. Which is already pretty bangin' my friend! ;D

aint been to iFX for yonks. to be honest ive stopped readin the mag too. waste of a subscription really. infact i was waintin for it too end and they extended it without lettin me know so in theory im wastin mi monies and im too lazy to complain. XD

That sucks. I didn't know they auto renewed it. I had been away from the forum for a while as well but returned to it in the last month or so. There seem to be fewer people on it now. CGHub is getting busy.
I'd love to get good enough to grab some work out of it but for now just practice and enjoyment.

i joined CGHub yonks ago. aint been there either in time. to be honest i was never really feelin it over there either!
i hate tryynna get good enough for work purposes!!! all i was doin for the past year and half was try to get work, independent games, comic colours, illustration, paid/unpaid, but anytime i got a job description i was like ' i dont wanna paint zombies anymore, i wanna paint goldfish '. kinda like my own worst enemy! XD

so maybe zombies was a bad example. although gross theyre always fun to draw. i was commisioned to paint 10 originall wrestlers and after the initial sketches i was bored! i get like that a lot!!!

He he, seven characters to be drawn in a week is a lot of work! but you managed it quite well, I like how the dragon's shape directs the watcher across the image
