I uploaded this all in one version just so I could link this around various places... I should have done this instead of the multi page brain fart.... whoops!My article on the female face which can be found in the FREE online VERTEX magazine.
Get your copy of it if you havent already, its a great book - filled with lots of industry creatives offering their tips and tricks, workflows etc for free!

I am currently struggling with creating the faces of my characters for the game I am hoping to be finishing in a few(or a lot?) years from now.
I hope it's okay to use your tutorial as reference.
I just cannot stand these derp faces I am always creating.

Too bad the website wants money and my credit card number for a "Free" magazine and refuses to allow me to download it without this information. I don't have a credit card, and free content should not be "Free if you donate".

The only option available to me is "I want this". Clicking that, it pops up with a box that asks for my personal info with a great big "Give" button. Giving it NOTHING but my email address it refuses to send me anything or download directly unless I give it credit card info and a donation. Maybe the site just hates Canadians. I am not paying for a free download, especially when I would have to give it sensitive personal info to do so. Personal info that I don't even have as I am not of legal age to acquire my own credit card.

I love the way you do your tutorials, I adored the Miku process, and the glimpse I got of this (almost the end of lunch break at work...) confirms the admiration I have for your choice. I said it before, but I want to reiterate that your approach to tutorials, where you expose your thought processes and the reasons behind your choices is better than any step by step!
