Of all the romantic and beautiful moments I could’ve picked to draw I ended up drawing Ruby and Sapphire chasing after the frog they picked up. I don’t know why but I found that scene ridiculously hilarious. Probably more than it was intended to be.

Run Froggy RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!! Very cute Hazura-chan and there is such a wonderful feeling of innocence in this picture that I am really enjoying!

Thank you, glad the drawing gives that feeling of innocence because it's what I tried to capture here. In this scene we see Ruby and Sapphire innocently exploring the Earth and getting to know their surroundings, so I wanted to do something of the sort with this.

One of the things that I’m glad that they avoided with this episode was the whole “love at first sight” cliché that they touched upon in “Love Letters”. When they accidentally fuse for the first time they simply feel a spark, a connection, an attraction. Then they spend an ambiguous amount of time together exploring Earth and getting to know one another before they decide to fuse again. This give us a sense that there was actual build up to their relationship.

Yes, I agree. Real relationships don't work just like that with a finger snap. That's why this show and the way they are portraying Ruby and Sapphire's relationship (as very well any other relationship, we can take Greg and Rose's example too) is very important, for kids and adults alike. And this new episode was great enough at the point of showing that.
I do believe that attraction at first sight exists, and more so, we see that in "The Answer" too, and that's quite natural to happen if we find someone attractive we can't control it.
