EDIT: I know she's a girl! It's the face and clothes I made for her that made her look flat chested and "boyish"! Geez! Enough of "you know she's a girl right?" comments! D8For a change I've decided to try drawing another character in human style besides the main six of My Little Pony.
So here's Derpy Hooves, relaxing on the clouds... I just hope she doesn't jump on it and cause some thunder. D8

tl;dr, it was made to show that Hasbro and The Hub decided to change it because they thought it would fix things and because they didn't want the writer of the episode to feel bad because her son is mentally disabled and she didn't originally know what the word Derpy meant, she thought it was just a word for clumsy/ditzy people, which is what Derpy was intended to be. But upon receiving 10 hate e-mails, she searched the word and found it meant retarded.
So no, Derpy isn't safe.
I don't personally agree with it, because I adored Derpy Hooves when she had her cross eyes and her original voice, I'm disgusted by the new things.
