interstellar phenomenon top notch work, but it stands out maybe a bit too much from the rest of the pack in my opinion. The other presets don't look so clean smooth and perfected as this one which kinda makes the rest of the pack look bad.

That said, i do like io, spectrum presets easily grow on me and that flash is quite genius with the right music horrors of the ancients is good experimental stuff, weird enough i like the roughness in it. blood puddle is good too, but i can see the edges of the pattern (bothers me because im a perfectionist)

And then the remix... Wish you could have done just a bit more with it like fixing that awful speed with gettime() and maybe make it change speed on sound constantly instead of the old beat code.

Good work, but could have been better with more constant quality.

Favorites are: Lilith remix, Tonic remix (I always LOVED that preset and you gave it an awesome take) and interstellar phenomenon. and you're right, IO does take a while to grow on you. Looks like a tool video.

Sorry for taking so long to comment!

blood puddle : nice effect, i think i would've used some blueish colors, and make the whole thing even more dreamy
concept uranus : needs really loud beats to work properly, i would've used colors though...i like b&w, but some colors wouldve made this preset so much better. (hmm remix material)
horrors of the ancients : same problem as with uranus, needs too many beats to show it's power...but maybe i'm listening to too much red house painters nowadays
interstellar phenomenon : fuck you. no, seriously. fuck you.
io damn nice, altough it's too flashy with some music.
eternal sunshine not bad, but it's one of your predictable presets.
stillborn universe the colors make me hard.
dreamtime remix : good, but imo it's missing something...
waytonowhere remix the original is one of my all-time faves so even if the remix would be a stinking piece of shit i would've like it. luckily the remix is dope too, so this is my fav from the remixes part.
water : nah
apocalyptic cosmology : why b&w?
lumping : really fucking good, i dig the blue tint
lilith : on pare with the original and that's a really good preset.

in conclusion, i think you should experiment more with colors, most of them follow your usual coloring style. interstellar tops the pack, because it shows imo what direction you should take. you have the math skills, to make something that great (i can barely code a texer and you make that... i hate you... ) and it has some really nice color changes and a unique atmosphere.
i'm hesitating on a fave, because there are some real jewels here, but i find some presets a bit lacking (mostly the two remixes), some of them are missing something i can't really pinpoint... anyway you made one of the top 5 presets of 2007 so you have nothing to be ashamed about. good luck with the pack!

very nice pack, and also nice to see you back in business. some comments about the presets:

blood puddle
nice, kinda has an old-school look. i like it, even though it's kind of static.

concept uranus
it's hard to see what going on half of the time, maybe it needs way more beats than i can provide.

horrors of the ancients
really cool effect, i love it. the addborders effect is pretty pointless here if you ask me.

interstellar phenomenon
awesome an instant favorite.

io
a bit flashy at times, but the effect is cool.

organisms in a spotless mind
i wish you could've found a way to do the same thing the addborders effect does, but smoother. other than that, i like it. this is the kind of preset i always want to do but fail at.

stillborn universe
kind of slow, but nice. there's not much else i can say about this preset.

dreamtime remix
i like the patterns it produces now and then, and the colors are nice too.

waytonowhere2 remix
really, really nice. one of my favorites of the pack.

water remix
lovely colors, i like this one. a bit reptitive though.

apocaliptic cosmology
kind of boring.

lumping remix
cool effect, normally i don't really like jumpy presets but it fits nicely here.

lillith
pretty cool preset, not much else to say.

overall, like i said before this is a very nice pack. i don't want to dismiss the rest of the presets, but interstellar phnomenon obviously stands out not only because of the technical goodness, but also because it breaks the style that the other presets stick to, and in a good way. i know that kind of preset takes a lot more time and work, but it'd be nice to see more of those next time.

anyway, good job man

if i ever get the time to actually think more, and be creative, and get new ideas for presets like interstellar, then, only then, will i be able to make a pack out of it. but i know that it will come someday

thanks for your comment!!

Most of the presets are a little below the quality I would expect from one of your full packs. However I am a bit biased towards technical presets (and I tend to really enjoy your more code heavy presets).

The one stand out preset is 'interstellar phenomenon' and I think you know as well as I that its the best in the pack. I was never really keen on your 'trail' presets like netscape but this one is well executed and has a decent consideration of asthetics. The background is simple but complimentary and the whole preset is basically very watchable. The pack is worth having for that preset alone.

just before checking the presets, you should update your pimpbot. this old version installs presets twice, which means no harm but is kinda ugly
