You know, I kind of see the moment they truly get together to go like this:
Imagine, Lapis makes friends with Jamie as he ends up becoming the house mouse of Jasper's ship and behind Jasper's back, Lapis makes friends with Jamie who depends on her to help him with his escape, while Lapis depends on Jamie to be his only friend to keep up her spirit. Sometime, Jamie finds out about Lapis' abusive relationship with Jasper and he encourages her to get out of it leading to this musical number:

This is just beautiful. Β I want to start off my saying that um... Holy crap, I'm really thankful. Β It makes me happy that I came to inspire you to draw this picture and ship Jamie&Lapis together. Β I think they'd get along so well and such, you know? Β
