Note: The F2M2 NAVAIR SPIKE, is a real weapon currently used by the U.S Military.
How to defeat: This missile is a beam rider, meaning the laser must be on the target, Turtleback’s eye is the laser, breaking line of sight is the easiest way to dodge this missile.

x1 Heat Blade
A long blade that conducts Turtleback’s electricity into extreme heat for cutting into metal objects.

Biography: Turtleback, was the 103rd Aegis Starfighter produced out of several thousand.
Built in the 1960’s and serving Heal Inc and the U.S Air Force through the Vietnam War, various conflicts in the Middle East, and various other insurgent conflicts, he has seen more than his fair share of death and destruction.

Personality: Unlike your typical Heal Inc. units, Turtleback is not immediately hostile and can feel some type of emotion. While he is programmed to be aggressive, he is often very polite, doing his best to hide his aggression when it isn’t needed. He suffers heavily from his war torn past, often times secluding himself to avoid incidents. Though he can enjoy people’s company as conversing with people is something he lacks when not deployed and on one of Heal Inc’s aircraft carriers.

Strengths:
A.W.A.C.S - Airborne Early Warning and Control System - Equipped with an HWS-113 Radar (the large radar dish on his back), Turtleback can detect and track a number of targets in a 10 mile radius. Can also label them as either “Friendly” or “Enemy.”
Limitations: Can only track/detect enemies that are out in the open, hiding within buildings/enclosed structures will prevent detection and tracking.
Note: The Radar Dish itself is extremely sensitive, small amounts of damage i.e, dents bigger than 2 inches in diameter, can affect its efficiency or even disable it in some cases.

Agility - In jet form or human form, the Aegis Starfighter is a formidable foe in terms of agility. Capable of out maneuvering various other jets/drones. Capable of subsonic speed while in jet form.

Weaknesses:

Tiny Objects - Turtleback is equipped with two jet engines, which are extremely sensitive and tolerances are very tight, if any hard object; screws, pebbles, bones, etc. bigger than a dime,
were to get sucked into the intake and into one of the jet engines, extreme damage can be expected along with disabling his flight capabilities.

Unreliable/Age - Turtleback’s extremely extended service life has taken a toll on his mechanical body and airframe. To put it into perspective, an average fighter jet has a life of about 5,000 flight hours, Turtleback has seen over 30,000 flight hours in his 53 years of service. As such, his mechanical body is extremely worn out and suffers heavily from fatigue and frequent break downs. You will often find Turtleback leaking oil, hydraulic fluid, and jet fuel on a regular basis and his overall performance is hindered by a number of limiters and G load restrictors.

Noise - Turtleback’s jet engines are *loud*, ear piercingly loud. You can hear Turtleback when he’s flying from at least a mile away.

PTSD - Turtleback has been observed to possess mild post traumatic stress disorder. Certain scenarios, scenes, and noises such as; Campfires, Fires in general, Loud Bangs that aren’t from him, and forests will have him on edge and jumpy.

MISC:

Unit Description: The Aegis Starfighter was a state of the art, variable form, unmanned autonomous fighter drone... back in 1967. Now, in the year 2024, the Aegis Starfighters have been showing their age for years now. These units have been overused for all types of missions for many years, the stress of constant use has taken a toll on their aging frames, with a number worse for wear units being relegated to reconnaissance or AWACS purposes like Turtleback. Being a reconnaissance and AWACS unit, he is lightly armed, with most of his weapons being for only self defense.

Fighting Style: Being an AWACS unit, Turtleback is not meant to be on the front fighting, designed to stay back away from the front and control the other units/allies in the battlefield.
As such, a large number of his weapons hard points were removed with only a limited number remaining which are primarily for self defense.
When an enemy appears, he will typically go on the defensive, attempting to put as much distance between him and his enemy while maintaining a radar contact to send other units after them, however in this oct he will need to adapt, being incapable of calling in other units.
