Just started missing the character, so I pulled out the pencil shaded image, and decided to color-tint it in Photoshop and drop in a backgorund and border using a few (hopefully tasteful!) effects.The original was doodled over the span of a few days while riding back and forth on the bus. This is the first incarnation of the Dissever character, a Beast Wars character that served as guardian to the Tripredacus Council and general overprotective pain in the ass to the Predacon leadership. Her alt mode is suggested by the wingblades attached to her hip, the tailfeathers splayed around shoulders, and the (non-Terran) eagle head on her back. Those of you who know me from Transformers:2005 MUSH are looking at Fusillade's future.

It is a minor aspect. Much of her personality stems from despair over the scattering of the Empire, and much of her motivation lies within resurrecting 'Con organizations...

That would be an affirmative. I created her several years ago for a post Beast Wars themed roleplay group. I've been meaning to come back to this design and do a few more poses with her. Perhaps this weekend, if I don't get sucked into the ten million other projects I have in mind...

I just like the fact that she is in deep thought. It's the kind of pic that the viewer can make up his/her own story about what she is doing/thinking.

I literally just dropped in flat colors in Photoshop. Everything else is graphite shading. I should do more of that. Always should do more of that...

This is really cool! I like the overall wing design and something screams Beast Machines to me, I love the design. I'm a big sucker for Beast Wars or Beast Machines designs, anything with Transformers into animal mode. Wicked.

The game was technically Beast Wars set on Cybertron, with the aftermath of the return of Primal's and Megatron's crews. Beast Machines was ignored, although we did allow the use of designs for some of the characters. Cheers for pointing out this -- it's indeed the case with Dissever. :> /SOME/ influence, at least. Imagine my chagrin when I saw where they stuck Silverbolt's tailfeathers in robot mode in Beast Machines...

I don't know what I like more about this character -- the awesome avian design or the coloration. I think I'll settle for both.

The contrast functions on Photoshop made some of the pencil shading look grainier than was desirable. If you want, I can upload a few other pics to my scraps section of some of the art for Dissever's reptavian alt mode.
