BIIIIIG SPOILER WARNING since Part 8 is the final Part of my story "Scare the Jolteon" after all. So yeah, description contains a pretty huge Spoiler for the story in its entirety.
Death: After finding out who her real father is, Emerald wants to get him back to life by tricking the chosen Flareon into giving his destiny to her real father. And just like Scare had to fight against literally Death himself when she tried to get Voice back by convincing the chosen Umbreon to give his destiny to him, Emerald now has to fight against Death too. But his weapon seems to have been upgraded~
Deuterium the Buizel: "I haven't seen yet how the story ends, not even I was able to figure it out. So... there is a chance that you might end up dying trying to stop them."
And so he fight against Scare for the final time! And since he can manipulate the reality around him, part of the battle consists of him making Scare go through small bits of the final battles of the previous 7 Parts of this story. That's why you can see the enemies of those battles in the part of this drawing where Deuterium is. Except the Ariados robot since Scare wasn't participating in that fight.
Dokuro the Shiny Houndoom: "Show me that you're strong enough to stop them and then I'll take the risk of them getting my children killed... If you're strong enough to me, you'd surely be able to stop them before my children get hurt because of them so... If you can defeat me... I'll lead you to them. I work for them so I know the location of their headquarters."
I don't think I need to add anything more to explain why this battle is happening. That quote of Dokuro from the story sums it up pretty perfectly. And as you can see, she uses her mega evolved form for this fight.
Felician: The final boss battle! Against the leader of the true bad guys throughout the entire story.
But is he really the true villain?~

It'd be more weird though if Death was of a species that could be considered baby Pokemon (Pichu, Togepi, etc)

But she didn't do anything wrong. xD The bad guys just inconveniently want her among others to be dead like really badly since it's part of their bigger plan. And by trying to help the other chosen Eeveelutions, the bad guys only have even more reason to do anything they can to end the Jolteon's life.

At this point it's a wonder the bad guys aren't trying to maul EACH OTHER for who gets the Jolteon!

Well, that wouldn't make much sense with most of them pretty much working together in one way or another.

well SOMEBODY has to do the kill, and I believe it would be a HONOR for someone to get it... but what if... only one COULD? >

Then their leader would likely demand to be the one to do it, considering how much of a disturbance Scare is to his plans and the fact that he has met Scare before and therefore has a more personal connection to her, therefore an advantage by being able to trick her into trusting him, making it much easier to get her killed. But throughout the story, the leader of the true bad guys pretty much just makes things happen indirectly like sending others to do the things necessary for his plans so that nobody could figure out who he is and especially what's really going on. That's why he doesn't try to take care of Scare by himself until she gets all the way to him.
