Description
Hi there, not much new to upload just yet. I made this tutorial some months ago for the zbrushcentral.com forum when I was posting a bunch of my work from 2012. There are 4 parts to it and it's not a basic level tutorial, it's middle to advanced as far as required zbrush knowledge, but maybe some still find it useful. Check parts 2-4 for the rest of the process.P2: P3: P4:

Also, let me know if you'd like to see more stuff like this and what kind of things you'd like to learn about.

I apologize if this sounds really dumb but what is the purpose of the diffrent colors?

They're just arbitrary colors that zbrush assigns to sections that you can create on your mesh called polygroups, they're pretty useful for hiding and unhiding parts of the mesh while you work as needed.

Thanks for making these, I've had Zbrush for a year now and still learning new things.
Still a while until my stuff even begins to look like yours though haha.

Cool. TY for the reply.
I've heard good things about zbrush r6 re-mesher though.
Haven't had a chance to play with it yet though.

did you create the base mesh on your own or get it from a download site? Either way, would you care to share it?

I have several base meshes that are adjusted versions each other. The one shown in this tutorial is my Kingdom Death base mesh. Unfortunately I can't share it because this base mesh sort of belongs to the client, but I'm planning to put up some basic and some more finished bodies as assets for sale or free download in the near future. Keep an eye on my journal for announcements on this.

Would love to see your workflow. I've never gotten a chance to really learn Zbrush :\

I teach basic zbrush at an SAE institute in Vienna. It's not that hard to learn and it's totally worth getting into.
