I had wanted to quit portraits altogether and focus on this semi-realism (like the Mucc samurai).
However, there's someone who wants me to draw more portraits. It's a tough choice.

Was this one of your drawings from your head? If so -OH MY GOD! Its a very neat pose and line work. Shading is always tops. Gotta teach me that. :3

Well, I found a reference for the figure, then changed it around in my own "manga" style.
The shading is simple to do, trust me! All you need are H pencils and something to blend them with.. like tissue.

Waaa~ Light looks kind of innocent the way you portray him, makes him almost likeable. I always thought of him as a scary person in anime/manga.
What kind of pencils do you use, if I may ask?

Yes, you're right about Light being calmly sinister in the anime/manga. I know, I made him look innocent in my drawing of the cosplayer.
To be honest, I use any pencil I can find, but mostly Derwent Graphic. They are nice pencils for art students...
I like using 4B, 2B, H and 2H.
Yeah, she's wonderful. She did that all in one year, it's incredible.

well man i ve seen ur pics about kiriyama k. it s so beautiful/perfect/impressing that i haven t got words to describe it. i also draw, and they say that i m doing it very well , but the way you done that pics..i could never do that. but hope so[link] it so 3d, i feel like i could touch it, and it has got soul ! maybe this is kinda askissing, but i almost had an orgasm when i saw that pics[link]
there is a cockeyed person in the paper very often when i try to draw smby not cockeyed. but on that pics kiryama has personality!!!!! we look at the pics and we could tell that he s psycho,terminator ect
so keep doing what u do, cause it WONDERFUL!

Well.. it's probably the most popular manga/anime in and outside of Japan. The storyline is laughable (when you write a name in the book, that person dies..), but the character designs and drama are addictive. There's also been a few movies made.
