Once the others had left Sonic slowly got up and made his way over to Shadow, since Shadow’s injuries were more sever tails put him in a medical capsule with some kind of regeneration liquid, or something like that. Sonic was careful to not dislodge any of the devices on him monitoring his recovery. He sat next to the capsule touching it.
“Get well soon Shadow…we need you.” Sonic said before carefully making his way back to his bed.

Meh. Psychobabble always comes across as weirdness to anyone who's sane.
But getting back to the pic, the reason I mentioned FF7 is because both Cloud and Zack were experimented on during their extended stay in Nibelheim, and it's pretty clear to me here that Sonic has the same tubes in himself that Shadow does, so I suspect he must have broken out of another capsule nearby.
Now I'm just looking for an explanation, like who would have done something like this. I just can't see Eggman being behind it. Not his style.

A very emotional and beautiful picture with Sonic and Shadow! I sure hope it all goes good in the end after they get captured!
The outlines, the colouring, the shadings and highlights, and the background are very breathtaking and stunning!

What i'm guessing is that they got caught for innocent reasons, Sonic managed to get out but he's working on Shadow, who is getting his power drained. All in all, G.U.N.
