Description
It's Shadow the Hedgehog of course. He's one of my favourite game characters so I had to draw him eventually.I put in bubbles that look like the ones in the 2d Sonic games. I had to draw in those wire things in Pohtoshop since it was a last minute idea so now they look a little out of place.
Anyway, I hope you all like it. ^^

I don't really notice it from the thumbnail, but I'm quite taken with how this one's kept a sort of sketchy look to it. I've always liked the pose as well, on the occasion that I've seen this pic before. It's oddly dramatic, despite him being in stasis or something. And the bubbles and wires are a nice touch
btw, is there a story behind this picture at all, like how Shadow came to be there? It looks like there should be, what with the blood around his arm and all.
Overall, very good. Consider it fav'd.

Thanks! It's mostly just how I imagined life would be for Shadow while he was on the Ark testing out his powers and recovering in his tank.

So did this begin as a sketch of sorts? It would seem so from the 'sketchshading' around his shoes and body etc. 
Admirable is the way you colored it, I've been trying to figure out how artists have been able to color pen/pencil drawings without digitally inking them and having them come out so fantastically. Any advice? I would assume you just hit it with the airbrush on half opacity&flow and clean up the mess with the history brush?
I love the way you've been able to spin the pose around into Shadow being suspended from wires in that tank.
The bubbles were a perfect touch...and the dulled out (yet subtle) glare on the front of the glass gives it a nice realism.
For being drawn in, the wires came out wonderfully, I like the dulled colors you chose for them.
The sharp neon red on Shadow is neat too, it's like the ordinarily crimson red hue has been affected/amplified by whatever liquid is surrounding him.
And no doubt that's blood surrounding and escaping his right arm, right? It took a moment for me to realize that too

Well, there's two ways:
-you can try making a new layer set to multiply with your lineart on it, while you colour on new layers beneath the lineart
-or you can use the same method by deleting the white areas on your lineart and locking the transparency
I've got a tutorial somewhere in my gallery, Manga-shading I think explains the last option a bit better.

Well, all my drawings do at some point.
But yeah, I actually intentionally made the final inked lineart sketchy to stay far away ffrom my cutesy anime style. The sketchiness should give a roughe and darker appeal to the image.

Wow, thanks a ton for the explanation of how you colored that! The tutorial was extremely helpful. Amazing, too, I'm surprised I didn't think of that! I'm going to have to work on that style; it's such a contrast compared to what I'm used to.
And doubtless the sketchiness gives your picture a dark aura...which is something that flawlessly accompanies Shadow and his origins

Although, I actually only have 3 since the Shadow hype kinda died down for me once I finally got to play StH and realised what a half-assed job they did on the game.
