You mean all the physics mumbo jumbo? Well, yeah, I did first year Engineering Physics, so that could be it.

Any of it. You have a rather sly humor.

Ah yes, good question. I too am without a tablet, but even so, the tablet is not neccessary. Get the polygon lasso. It's at the top-left corner of yourtool box, click and hold until it shows up. Once you've selected it, just select the area that you want to colour, and you'll get super crispy toning with just any old mouse. (mine's not even optical )

Just add more polygons. If you take a close look at the pics in my gallery, you will notice blockiness (unless I blurred it). But, the more polygons you put, the smoother it'll be (just like in games ^^)

Oh, just one more thing, when you colour the selected area, get a huge-assed brush so that you can do it all in one click. Clicking multiple times will make the edges pixely.

Yeah, I mostly can't believe the amount of favourites I got for this. Thought I'd never see that many favourites on my deviations in my whole life.

Thanks so much! ^____^ *runs off to practice drawing hair* Haha, faveyness. ^_<
Also, if you don't mind me asking, what do you use to ink? Do you scan in a pre-inked drawing or ink it on the 'puter with a mouse/tablet? Your lines are always soooo smooth. o0o

TheEclipse In reply to marchie [2005-10-28 06:27:58 +0000 UTC]
I scan an inked drawing 99.95% of the time since that's the most efficient method for me. I used to use a 0.2 fineliner and sometimes a 0.4 ... but now I just use my ball-point pen because I find that's it's all the same. (still have to clean up)

Oh okay, thanks for the info! ^^ I try doing that but I have such a shakey hand, it always looks wobbly. xD I asked my dad to buy me some pens to ink with, and the smallest he bought is about a 0.7 But I have oodles of ball points so I'll just use those.
Cleaning up is the worst part. T^T I'm a very messy person, so I usually spend just as much time cleaning as drawing. xD
