Here's a quick OpenCanvas digital painting that only took me maybe 4 hours longer than I intended to do. I had "Highway To The Danger Zone" going through my head the whole time. Rainbow Dash is the equine version of a stunt jet pilot, and she's awesome like that.

Frankly, I like how it's come along so far. It's uploaded, but might as well be WIP considering all the things that need fixing up. I coloured Dash, and Cloudsdale, and then decided I wanted some fancy twilight dark-and-redish clouds. I love how the clouds were coming in, but the bulk of Cloudsdale colour is a off in relation. Rainbow Dash herself needs some more value. And the empty sky just above her tail... it feels too empty (the sky in general needs more stuff in it). The whole thing feels like a mess of great pieces that just aren't fitting together properly yet.

EDIT: Update after 3 hours of messing with her mane. It's not much, but it's been a week, so update to show that I'm still doing stuff with it. It's a daunting task to go over a work again like this! More planning and preparation from the beginning would have been smarter.
