After many weeks working on this, I'm pleased to post my special 200th deviation, Diesel 10! Like the rest of my sprite art of official characters, this is my own depiction of him, so expect a few changes deterring from official canon. This is covered further below the description, which you can view for your own pleasure if desired. I do want to say though, to all my followers here, thank you so much for sticking with me for the past years since I returned to DeviantArt. With this 200th deviation, more content will be on the way! Enjoy and stay safe!

Description: A Class 42 Warship built for British Railways (BR), then illegally modified but kept the modifications during his tenure on the North Western Railway (NWR)

Gender: Cis Male

Purpose: Initially for passenger services on BR, then a mixed-traffic engines for goods and maintenance of way (clearing scrap)

Creators: Swinton Works (Pre-Modification), P.T. Boomer (Modified)

Biographical Summary: Not much is known about Diesel 10's past before he came to the Island of Sodor. Not what number nor former name he had during his time on the Other Railway. Every time he would be asked such, he would refrain from answering. Records of his former name and number were lost when he was withdrawn in 1972. What is known is that he was acquired and sent to the NWR for service ordered by the Sodor Ironworks. P.T. Boomer, who had a part-time job there, hid him there to illegally build Pinchy. When caught, he excused it as an easier way to grab and dismantle scrap for processing. The ultimate purpose of Pinchy, however, was to swiftly destroy Lady. With this modification on him, Boomer recruited Diesel 10 to find and destroy Lady once and for all. Diesel 10 covering ground on Sodor, Boomer back in Shining Time. Diesel 10 wreaking havoc on the Island while Boomer excavated Muffle Mountain to find Lady. Eventually, the two would reunite when Lady was revived and found, leading to a chase to finish her off. However, with the collapse of the Big Dipper, Diesel 10 and P.T. Boomer fell into the chasm below into a sludge barge. While P.T. Boomer died, Diesel 10 was recovered and reprimanded for his actions, leading to him being confined in the Sodor Ironworks until further notice. However, this left Diesel 10 into a state of resentment. Both for his failure along with his punishment, he sought revenge. However, that wouldn't come until a lynx from another world arrived to Sodor...

Miscellaneous Tidbits:

1. Unlike most of the classic cast within my headcanon of Thomas, Diesel 10's history differs greatly compared to his official canon during the Model Series. While similar events of Thomas and the Magic Railroad play out in my headcanon, the rest do not. Due to him being absent in the future, his appearances in Calling All Engines and the Great Discovery doesn't happen (the first of the two specials not being canon either).

2. Diesel 10, unlike in what happened in Magic Railroad, is also a new engine in my version of the movie rather than being a "returnee."

3. Like all of Sodor and its inhabitants, Diesel 10 is only kept alive by the magic engine Lady and the Magic Railway, which he is susceptible to losing his sentience if the magic produced by her (known as the Life-Source) is threatened or non-existent. Despite this, he was tricked by Boomer with staying alive, promised such as to conquer the Island for diesels.

4. The Life-Source also allows him to telepathically communicate to non-sentient engines, which the rest of the engines of the NWR also share.

5. Just like at the time production of Magic Railroad was in full swing, Diesel 10 is the tenth diesel to arrive on the Island, Splatter and Dodge arriving just before him.

6. Diesel 10 was originally going to have his face masks the same size and mounting as per his TVS model. Due to the more realistic approach, however, he was giving much smaller ones to realistically work as an engine.
