To those who voted in the recent poll I posted: I decided that the winner of Toby's permanent livery is his RWS-Styled one, though now has since gained the same blue used on Thomas, Edward, and Gordon to match. Biographical Summary: (A rough estimate is explained below, summary is identical to their backstory in Seasons 1-7 in the Television Series, deviating from there with RWS stories like the others)

Miscellaneous Tidbits:

1. Everything that happened to Toby pretty much follows the events of the TV Series Seasons 1-7 and then Thomas and the Magic Railroad in that order, which the series onward never happens.

2. Toby is the last of his siblings, the only surviving member of both Classes C53 and J70.

3. Like all of Sodor and its inhabitants, Toby is only kept alive by the magic engine Lady and the Magic Railway, which they are susceptible to losing his sentience if the magic produced by them (known as the Life-Source) is threatened or non-existent.

4. The Life-Source also allows him to telepathically communicate to non-sentient engines, which the rest of the engines of the NWR also share.

5. Toby is the first of his C53/J70 siblings built by Stratford Works.

6. Toby's original red wheels were painted so as part of his original GER livery, though his siblings would not receive them as they were thought pointless due to them being obscured by the C53s' infamous skirts. Nevertheless, Toby would have them up until his repaint as a reward for helping with James' accident with tar tankers, which they were repainted to their present form.

7. Due to the 1923 Grouping, he was sold from the Ipswich Dock Tramway to the Arlesdale Tramway. Because of this, he never went under complete ownership of the London North Eastern Railway (LNER). The 20 years he had been in service made him undesirable by the company due to the two decades of wear and tear on him. Hence why he's exclusively identified as a GER C53 rather than being a LNER J70, with the Arlesdale Tramway keeping his class identity his original one.

8. While he was devastated when the Arlesdale Tramway closed down, he eventually gotten accustomed to his new home in the Ffarquhar Branchline. However, when Oliver accidentally stumbled across the abandoned Arlesdale Tramway, he was rather more humored than horrified that his line eventually turned into a miniature gauge line that merged his old line with the also abandoned Mid-Sodor Railway. Nevertheless, he would still reminisce about his time on the Arlesdale Tramway, despite the annoyance of Thomas.

9. Because the Arlesdale Railway was built on top of the roadbed of his second old tramway, and as much as it pains me to say, the following episodes are not canon to my headcanon: Toby and the Flood, Toby's Windmill, and Toby had a Little Lamb. These are due to being locating on the old Arlesdale Tramway in the show, which sharing the events for my headcanon would be impossible.

10. While I was wanting to be more accurate to the TVS with Toby's permanent livery, I ultimately went the route with how the Railway Series had his livery as I though having his TVS livery permanently would make him too drab.
