Inspired to do these two, decided they're in a small group of thieves/criminals called the Maladies. They're not the only members but i hate group shots so deal widdit'.

Nooo idea why I drew them in this style, it isnt my usual thing >>

History: Phineas was the result of the union between the Ravenna and Serpico families. While most hoped he would help bring a bit of life back to the Serpico family they had no idea what he would really end up doing. As a student he was quite brilliant, because of his skill and enthusiasm he was able to spend some of his school time with the former nurse, learning from her. After graduation he went straight to a job at St. Mungos. Unfortunately after 7 years of working there it was discovered that he was an accomplished inventor of incredibly harmful spells. Once they found out what kind of spells he’d been creating he lost his job and was set to go on trial, but he escaped while being moved.

3 years before he was caught he created a book called ‘Destroying Angel’ (yes like the mushroom) under the pen name 'Drake Lagorio' that was a collection of the most vile spells ever designed to kill, torture, maim, or generally destroy life ever conceived, both old and the brand new ones that he had created. The tome included poisons, cures, and counter-curses as well. Like a Thestral, only someone who had seen death could read Destroying Angel, however unlike a Thestral the death witnessed must have been CAUSED by the reader (only a murderer can see the text, otherwise the pages appear blank). Other than his work on the book he seems extremely interested in muggle technology. He is absolutely enthralled with their ability to surpass wizards in power and functionality (in many ways) with absolutely no magic to work with. Recently he created another book Technologist's Grimoire about how and why to enchant muggle items to greatest effect, including the designs to a few rather devastating weapons. (this book can be read by anyone)
After being caught he took his pen-name as a full on alias, referring to himself by it. Normally that may seem bad, but most people never even heard of the book let alone the author, so it was a fairly safe name to go by.

Phineas's current one goal in life is to break down the barrier between the muggle and wizarding worlds. He is willing to do just about anything to achieve this but for the most part hes focusing on subtly gaining support amongst mostly muggleborn wizards and their families. He recognizes that he cant change the world alone and wont be able to as a scary fugitive, and needs to become something of a leader figure.

Other: Often alters his name and appearance to avoid detection. Wand is 13”, red-stained Yew wood with Valravn feather core and a stainless steel tip, it’s possible that this was custom-made for him. Has quite a few illegally altered muggle artifacts, including weapons, that he carries with him. His height is 5’9” and weight is 140. He has a shovel which he has enchanted to fly like a broom, however unlike a broom he can hit people in the neck with the shovel and well, there ya go.

Recent: Soul-Severing curse (similar effect to dementor's kiss) was deemed Unforgivable by the Ministry. Also recently suspected to have been involved in a large fight in Hogsmeade that injured at least 3 people and damaged businesses. Both books are banned.

History: She was a pretty nice but alone girl in school, quiet and ‘lost’. After graduation she went back to an empty home and lost touch with society. A few months after this when she finally felt the pangs of money and joblessness Ethel had to venture out into the real world seeking employment. Her marks in school were good but her odd distant personality lost her most every interview she went to. Eventually she went to an interview in Knockturn alley at just the right time, meeting her future employer then and there. Phineas didn’t mind her strange way of being and discovered she had skills at creating things which he found highly useful. He took her and taught her personally, going into the muggle world and getting her an education out there as well, hoping to have her learn to be a good bridge between the two worlds and help him with using muggle tech combined with magic. She now works and lives with him as well as the other Maladies.
